Well just as I said, Lucas Moura continues his campaign of being a nailed down starter and beast for us this year.
The press and attitude/effort was immense today. Everyone was on the same page, & after a shaky first 30’ Dembele was able to settle himself down and really boss the center of the park.
Dele was selfish, had 2 clear chances he shot on that a simple square pass would’ve been auto goals.
Toby/Jan is so fricking good, Levy needs to pay them no matter what. Lock them down for the last 3-4 years of their prime.

I'm new here so y'all help me out. Is the selfish play the norm for Alli? He seems to have that youthful arrogance about him.

I’ve always liked his “frick you” attitude. It’s a nice edge. I get why other fans don’t like it, but he’s on “my team.”
As for the missed opportunities, he’s usually pretty ruthless and puts those away. I’m not too concerned until it becomes a trend. What’s funny is that he had a lot of space multiple times in the Fulham match where a simple pass to him likely would have resulted in a goal or at least a clear cut chance, and he didn’t get the service. He definitely had his chances against United.

Here you like him if he's on your team but hate him if he's not.

It was selfish not to dish it off to Kane, but I don’t mind him using Kane as a decoy as long as he actually gets a shot on target. He took forever to do anything last night

I thought he had a pretty decent game other than the two obvious mistakes. No reason not to give the ball to Kane, he was wide open in front of the net. The 2nd where he tried to adjust to get a better shot was bad, maybe I'm being too harsh on him.

He should've hit it with his left on the open net, and he should've squared Kane for a tap in.
But also, to Dele's credit, he was all over the pitch yesterday. Getting in good spots, making dangerous runs and pressing his arse off. He also had several interceptions, he was yuge yesterday.

Appreciate the feedback!
I already like him but I can definitely see why opposing fans would not.
Just watched all Spurs UCL highlights from last year and the attacking core of Kane, Son, Dele, and Eriksen looks beautiful. Hope Son brings home the Asian games gold.

quote:I was reading an article yesterday saying they have to win the Asian games or he'll have to serve military. They were also saying he could have qualified for a military exemption when he was younger but chose his early soccer career over that. I didnt understand what they meant. Do you guys know?

he couldve served 2 yeas out of hs, but he chose academies and lower level clubs in his teens

Leverkusen also refused to let him go to the Olympics (??) Earlier in his career when the South Korean team won exemption.

yeah, i actually just learned this yesterday. i can't imagine how often he thinks about that now, and how much he probably hates them.
