I only watched the game on DVR last night. Here are my thoughts:

1. Karius, wtf are you doing out there?

2. Poor game by my fave player, Firmino. He just didn’t seem to have his normal energy and positioning.

3. Sloppy finishing by pretty much everybody.

4. STAY ONSIDE SADIO.

5. Can was worse than useless out there. Worst performance of the squad IMO. He gets the ball at his feet and for some reason starts thinking he is Coutinho. And his sloppy, lazy turnover on our defensive end led directly to the foul which awarded the free kick that Spartak scored on.

6. Why pull Mane for Studge? Conditioning because he hadn’t played in 2 weeks? Positioning/offsides?

7. Wasted a perfect gem of a game by our CBs for once.

8. Looks like if we want a chance to win our group we’re going to HAVE to win in Spain.

Yep, no doubt its on him. I can see that it may have been tough to see what was going on with the kick, but the ball was pretty damn close to him.

I will say - the ref was terrible. Phantom calls on us (one leading to the goal), no PK call, etc.

I'm frustrated, but we played well. On another day we win that 6-0. Firmino had a tough day, but several guys missed easy easy chances. I would have bet money on about 4 or 5 of those misses going in from Firmino, Studge, Mane, etc.

He was definitely poor yesterday.

Wouldn't say perfect - but no hug mistakes. I will also say Moreno was immense yesterday - possibly my MOTM.

For all the hate he's gotten, its time he got more kudos for his play this year. Have Mane on his side has helped tremendously.

I think that's the key, but yeah he's been so much better this season, between he and Robertson (who I think has looked good in his few appearances as well), we seem to be okay on that side

Not a whole lot to say on this one IMO... One of those games where things (calls) didn't go our way... played fairly well...

We could have finished better, Karius could have broken sooner on the ball (though I don't know what he was seeing)...

I still think we’ll be alright. It sucks only having 2 points in group, but we can probably win both against Maribor, and our home match against Spartak. Sevilla away is going to be tough. So you would be looking at 11 or possibly 12 points in group which is always enough to see you through to the next round.

I don’t care about winning the group.

Yeah, I think we'll advance... winning the group would be nice, but just get through...

This team sucks.

Not a single leader on the pitch right now.

Need Lallana back and a decent defender in January otherwise we won't make top 6.

With RB Leipzig last in their group (early still), I wonder if there's any chance they let him go in January if they don't make the KO rounds?

Well, all English clubs seem to be winning their away days.

Except Liverpool, of course.

What you get for starting fricking Karius.

Why do that after Migs had a semi decent weekend.

What incentive would they have to do that? I imagine they'll keep him to help them finish high in the league

Getting bullied by Okizawa and giving up a pen is semi decent?

Don’t get me wrong, I prefer Migs over Karius too, but lets not pretend he’s not almost as problematic as Karius.

Hell, I’ve been ready for a while to give Ward his shot.

Still no Lallana or Clyne this weekend, but it sounds like both are close to returning to the squad

financial and it's being reported (not sure how factual) that many at the club have not been happy with his attitude this season...

but I agree, it's prob a long shot... just a question..

I don't have an issue with starting Karius in the UCL...

Also, that should never have been a penalty on Migs... He clearly got the ball first...

Sorry, didn't mean that to come off as condescending. I was asking in the event that you knew something I didn't. (Happens a lot )

Non-Liverpool related, but Sergio Aguero was in a minor car accident resulting in a broken rib, so Man City is supposedly without his services for 11-12 weeks.

If we add Keita and VVD in January and can hold the fort down until then we could be in business. I know it's probably a pipe dream but a man can hope.
