I read that he said Ward, Ox and Grujic will start in the cup match...

I'd like to see

Ward
Flanno-Gomez-Matip-Robbo
Milner
Ox-Gruj
Woodburn
Solanke-Ings

I know the likelihood is slim, but I'd still like to see it!

I think I may drop dead on the spot if Milner plays as the #6..

I'm gonna guess and say maybe Gino will play as the 6?

Pretty much the definite guys I want to see are Solanke, Woodburn, Ox, and Grujic.

I also read Ings may get a look...

I may have missed it, but is Markovic still with us or did he get loaned again?

He is as far as I know. I don't expect him to get many looks but an early cup game could be likely just to rest our front 3.

And Ings should make the bench. I think he's played some with the U-23s but not sure how many minutes he's gotten. I'm very skeptical of his long term place at the club, but he's one that you can't help but root for.

I think he should be sold.. I think the second knee injury delayed that to see if he's a worth a shite anymore... Good player, but not the level we need..

agreed... it feels like he never got a fair shake, tbh, but at the same time, if he was worth the shite, Klopp would have played him.... the fact that they didn't, and a lot of it due to injuries, tells me a lot...

Excited to see youngsters like Solanke and new additions like Ox play today!

At the end of the Burnley match, Solanke showed how dangerous he can be yet again. I WANT MORE!

yeah, I am too... but I want to fricking win!! I'd like to see something like..

GK: Ward

DF: TAA - Lovren - Klavan - Robertson

** Rest for Matip and rotating TAA and Gomez so that TAA is in fr the suspended Gomez in next weeks UCL. Also, thank god Vardy isn't playing today..

MF Diamond: Hendo (#6) - Ox - Grujic - Woodburn (#10)

** Would be a good time to see Milner get game time, but I really want to see Ox and Grujic

FW: Studge - Solanke

Salah and Bobby need rest... Studge looks the best he has in a couole of years..

** If we use all three subs... Ings, Milner and Markovic (long shot he even makes the squad)

https://www.goal.com/en-us/news/why-juventus-target-emre-can-hasnt-signed-a-new-liverpool/jy8qy7f7skva1rdyqnlwyo3t9

quote:

The Merseysiders opened talks with the 23-year-old in June 2016 and negotiations have been difficult, with the latest sticking point being the release clause.

Liverpool are largely opposed to including them in contracts, but with Can due to leave for nothing next summer and Juventus keen on snapping him up, the issue in this case is not the addition of a release clause, but the details around it.

It is understood that the representatives of the Germany international - who would command a substantial signing-on bonus and package as a free agent - have requested that he be placed in the highest bracket of earners at the club. Conversely, though, they have pushed for a release figure that is well below his market value and doesn’t correlate to the wages being sought.

There is also discord on when the condition could be activated, as well as by whom and under what circumstances.

quote:

Liverpool would be willing to agree a lower release amount that couldn't be triggered by their domestic rivals and would not immediately apply, if Can's wage demands decreased.

Alternatively, they would make him a top earner if the escape figure could be closer to his actual value.

In other words, if true, Can believes himself to be in a position to ask for it all: top wages and the ability to bail on the team at his leisure.

Which is why I would sell him to Juventus in January for whatever I could get for him.

without knowing the specifics... we are in a tough spot here...

Juve may not want to pay anything for him in Jan (he is cup-tied) and he can sign a pre contract..

I think he's worth 100k/wk... But his release clause should be above market value for clubs outside of the EPL... it would need to be enormous inside the EPL..

I'm guessing he wants more than that... 125k-150k/wk? He hasn't done enough to prove he's worth it...

They hold all the power right now... The only thing we could do is not play him until he signs on something agreeable to both parties.. which could damage his WC aspirations, but we really need him right now... Jan may be a different story...

Those tactics just don't look good to prospective players...
