In stoppage time, the ref stops play to talk to players and give cards for a whole minute and doesn't add any time?

Terrible... Just terrible. Why the frick do I even bother any more, I haven't pulled for a contending team in any sport in years

This fricking team.
When you fail to bolster your squad depth in the transfer window, you'll continue to do shite like drop points at home to Burnley. City brought Bernardo Silva, Ilkay Gundogan, and Leroy Sane off the bench today. We brought on Solanke, a Chelsea youth player this time a year ago. 35 shots to 5. I mean frick

Same fricking shite year after year. Same exact problems that never get fixed.

Not gonna miss Can. Get what you can for him in Jan hopefully.
35 shots to 5.
21 shots on goal to 4.
1-1 and 2 more dropped points.

That is the cold hard truth. Frustrating

Except squad depth WAS bolstered.

So much promise this summer with all of the transfer links and we bring in one guy that can crack our first choice 11.
We are seriously going to have to fight tooth and nail to qualify for Europa. Top 4 is a pipe dream

Ox couldn't even beat out Milner for a starting spot.

What? We brought in 4 players. A left back from hull city, a youth prospect from Chelsea, a squad player from arsenal, and Mo Salah. No centerbacks and 1 guy good enough to break into the first choice 11. We shipped out Leiva, Origi, and Sakho. How was depth bolstered?

frustrating... should have ground out a 1-0 win, which is what you hope for when a team concedes possesion, but a fricking mental lapse at the back and it's a draw...
I still think we'll be battling for top 4.. Our optimal front 4 hasn't even played together yet in the league... Coutinho is still rusty... Ox is still getting ip to speed...
It's frustrating, but I'm not all doom and gloom..
edit: the defense is what it is..

If you look at last years roster and compare it to this years and your only thought is "Our depth is the same or worse this year", then I don't know what to tell you, bro.
P.S. Sakho was never selected for a single gameday squad last year, so obsessive Sakho-love or not, he doesn't in any way count toward last year's roster. Good try though.

yep, thats been acknowledged, but it is what it is until Jan...
That said, I think we are miles better in the FB department... Moreno is playing well and Robertson looks good too (+ no more Milner).. Gomez and TAAs emergence... we need clyne back for more stability...

I think so too. To expect our squad to suddenly be able to score multiple goals against sides who are more than happy to park the bus in front of goal so early in the season is unrealistic. But it is a very long season. Once Phil gets more comfortable, and once Lallana returns I think we'll see more goals against the Burnleys of PL.
Im more concerned about the fact that 5 of our next 6 are on the road. That will be mentally and physically exhausting for our guys. I'd honestly be ok throwing Tuesday's match.

I'm as pissed anyone that we have to see Lovren as first choice CB... and Klopp's statements yesterday about CBs/transfers is borderline Rodgersesque.. I choose to believe he is saying that to not destroy current players confidence... If he believes that, then that will be the main factor in his undoing (getting way ahead of myself)...
I always knew with Klopp we were never going to be Atletico Madrid and would be open at times the way we get forward, but putting faith in Lovren is career suicide... the guy has proven time and time again that he is a huge fricking liability at the back... he can't defend... he just can't...

We're 5 games into the season and we've dropped 7 points to Man City, Watford, and Burnley. If that continues, we'd be lucky to finish within a stone's throw of the top 4.

Exactly.
But he said "squad depth" not "CB depth".
You noticed that didn't you?
