Karius was in good position for the shot, just a solid finish. Not much he could do.

15:00 in and Rashford has embarrassed TAA time and time again.

Both goals have come from Lovren losing a header on a 60 yard ball from the keeper.

Lovren has nothing physically for Lukaku, but has held well tactically

Yep

I think Karius saves that if it doesn’t get the deflection..

fricking hell.

Rashford is just being allowed free and full reign on the pitch.

I noted this as a key to the game up-thread and I’m sorry to be proven right.

I thought Can would have been assigned to make Lukaku’s life miserable but it serms that he has been left to the CBs which is seemingly a poor choice since Lovren can’t handle him.

It’s weird cause hasn’t Lovren handled Lukaku well in the past?

Slicing through us like soft butter.

So disappointing considering how solid we’ve been defensively of late.

We have to somehow find a goal before half or this could end very ugly

Very reminiscent of our game at Spurs

Embarrassing performance thus far.

Better get one back before half or Klopp better plan to face multiple buses coming out of the locker room.

Playing tighter than a virgin. Even on the few good crosses nobody has been there to execute. Haven’t really figured out the game plan so far....seem to be playing not to lose as if we’re up two.

Clearly they’ve been the better side.. damn, that VVD header would have made a difference

Lovren not been good at all.. TAA proving his youth...

MU - solid in possession and totally organized

Liverpool - bad passing, constantlly turning the ball over, disorganized

The one compliment I can give our boys is we’ve had multiple excellent crosses. Unfortunately we’ve had few to no players in position to take advantage.

First goal, the kick was short so Lovren had to come a long way out. Ideally Can should’ve been there to help and TAA was just abused so I can’t blame Lovren too much on that. Second one, absolutely Lovren destroyed and opened everything up

Just simple tactics and long balls they’ve executed. We’re getting outplayed. Simple as that

I disagree about Lovren... I think he has held position well and not let Lukaku get in attacking position.

The problem is that with TAA having so much trouble defending Rashford, Lukaku doesn’t HAVE to be in an attacking position. Two-pass football has opened the door for them twice, so from my perspective it is not really Lovren’s fault.
