Why the frick do some women’s teams acknowledge men’s World Cups with their stars on their shirts?

Bump

Brazil takes lead over Italy on a penalty. Now there is currently a 3-way tie for group lead with Italy in first on GD. The first-ever WWC goal by Jamaica is the difference between Australia finishing in second and third in the live table.

Scotland know how to torture their fans. Men’s and women’s team alike.

Literally two minutes of live play from the 85th minute through the 97th minute. They got jobbed on time, if nothing else. I’d want to fight too.

Edit: Don’t blow a 3-0 lead, and it’s a non issue, but still how bad has the officiating in this tournament been?

pretty awful. I'd love to hear the official explanation for shorting them over an entire minute of pre-determined extra time.

I was stunned when the ref blew the full time whistle and you could see all the players in disbelief too. That made no sense whatsoever.

Also sucks that Fox is too cheap to send all their broadcasters to France as well because they were clueless that the whistle ended the match.

Being a fan of the Vegas Golden Knights, the Scotland - Argentina match brought back some Game 7 vs. San Jose flashbacks. Blow a 3 goal lead late, with controversial officiating involved...then get eliminated in gut wrenching fashion.

It's like the Scottish players saw someone from VGK in the stands and said, "You think what happened to you was bad? Hold our whiskey."

This Dutch team might be the most attractive women's soccer team I've ever seen, top to bottom and they're not bad.

USWNT’s first actual game is today. Looking forward to seeing how they handle actual pressure.

And it continues today. Canadian defender clearly kicked the ball out and the ref awards them a goal kick instead of a Dutch corner

Today's lineup

Naeher
O'Hara, Sauerbrunn, Dahlkemper, Dunn
Lavelle, Mewis, Horan
Heath, Morgan, Rapinoe

Word on the street is Ertz was injured and won't be playing today.

For frick's sake, Zach...you're not supposed to make her walk bowlegged until AFTER the tournament.

So if Netherlands wins this group, they’ll be rewarded with the loser of today’s US-Sweden game?

That can be tougher to tell in real time than you realize.

Overall, the reffing has been very poor though.
