Tim Ream and World Cup

I know little about soccer but watching tonight was it inaccurate to think Tim Ream was by far our biggest liability? I know our keeper fricked up once but even then Ream looked like a goofball trying to back him up. Then TWO of the other goals looks like this guy didn't even belong on the field (or pitch whatever).

Yes

I mean, he was directly involved in giving up 3 of their goals. Look at him get completely dominated on this header. Barely gets up and then looks like he got run over by a linebacker.

Down syndrome Drake Bell ate his lunch

Then watch him essentially stop moving as he watches the kick go by him in the box. Ball gets picked up by the guy running right past him and scores.

They been talking about Pulisic like he the man for a decade. Might as well have had Freddy Adu out there

The guy with the pony tail and the guy with the Afro are absolutely terrible. The guy with the pony tail is a total liability when we have the ball. All he does is stand behind the ball and when he gets it, he just makes a short kick to the wing or kicks it right back to the guy that passed him the ball. He is pitiful. When he needed to open his hips on the move to try and prevent a goal he fell down.

Ponytail is Ream. Glad I'm not hallucinating.

Well Morgus, I think Chopsley is more athletic than Ream.

He's almost 39 and our best centerback option. That used to be a strength for US soccer.

I’m a bit bummed at the beating Ream is taking. He was really bad tonight… he’s also had a great career and is in his late 30s, and a lot of people who are WC-only viewers are going to think he’s always been absolutely terrible.
It’s an embarrassment for U.S. soccer there was no one better than him at this stage of his career.

Ream picked the worst night to play his worst game.
With that said, he was the drizzling shits tonight.

The fact that no one couldn’t replace him after 2022 is a damning indictment on the USMNT.

this. pochettino had no loyalty to ream.
the fact we had no better option than 38 year old tim ream is not reams fault.
but he obviously chose tonight to play his worst game since we played belgium a few months ago and gave up 5 goals.
Trusty, the other guy that couldve filled that spot, got hurt against Turkiye in the meaningless group game

Ream sucked and the fact we don’t have better any where in our development is a major problem.
