It's a bit baffling to me that y'all can be a part of such a huge uproar about him not being on the team (a guy that played only a small part in qualifying) and then also claim that it's crazy to think he would have been a distraction.
I mean, he was used as a sub for a few games in the 2011 Gold Cup under Bob. He wasn't a distraction then.

Sheep's post is on point. I'd like to add that our lack of depth on the wings may actually show itself more in the next game. At the very least, zusi or bedoya could have gotten less mileage on his legs in advance of the game against germany.

Same. I think Sheep deserves some sort of position with the USMNT. We all know he is their biggest supporter.

Good idea. Except where do you put a guy who hates the coach and wants to turn back time?

Donovan would not have started either game. Could have used him as a sub in both.
Here's a far fetched connection. I thought Yedlin was a great sub on the right. Donovan may have come in to do that, but Yedlin looked really, really fresh and lively.

He was.

Ee probably would have let in more goals, he doesn't play defense like Bedoya.
J.K. has brought the right 23, in this heat we need in shape people in this heat of Brazil.
If only J.K
had brought in Brooks instead of Gonzo, I think he gets ahead of the scorer of the last goal because of his athleticism.

This is one of the only things stopping me from outright saying landon would have made a difference. Deandre acquitted himself very well, except for jogging back on the last play (like everyone else).

Donavan would be leading for the Golden Boot had he made the trip

You were THE main guy entering Landon Donovan threads, completely unprovoked, to get on your "stop crying and DWI" soapbox time and time again, and now you start this fricking thread?
Good grief man, what the hell is wrong with you?
Even if you were right (which is highly debatable, I might add), the creation of this thread goes against everything you were posting before the World Cup started.
