I'm sorry it gets boring watching Petr just do his thing and be rock solid year after year, and there's this hot young prospect that everyone is supposed to be in love with. I'm not trying to downplay Thibaut at all. I think Petr has been the best GK in the world for a little while now.
He's the current and three time PL Golden Glove winner.
Three time EPL champion.
Four time FA Cup champion.
Europa League champion.
2012 Champions League winner which was one of the finest GK campaigns I've ever seen.
No GK distributes the ball as well as Petr.
His shot blocking is A+.
He's tough as nails.
I personally see no reason why Thibaut is better than Petr. None. They're both exceptional at what they do. I see zero drop off between the two, so if you can get a club to offer retarded money for Thibaut, I think you take it or hope you can get him to extend his deal, because that's the only way he's going to stay at Atletico where he wants to be apparently.

I think the difference between the two is so minimal it doesn't really matter one way or the other who our keeper is next year or the year after. This is all about the future and the fact we could get 10+ years out of Courtois and only 2-3 more out of Cech.
Of course all the hipsters will say Courtois is so much better because it's the cool thing to do but I guarantee most of them have seen him play less than ten times.
