Cameron was absolutely amazing last night. He really has a bright future. Danny Williams had his best game in a US shirt. The deeper role in the midfield suits him. Torres and Zusi are the type of technical players we need to use more often. And once we score we have to put the game away and not try and drop deep and protect the lead. I can understand if we were playing a top team like a Brazil or Germany but against Jamaica when you have them on the ropes finish them off because soccer is a crazy game and you are just one mistake from a draw or even a loss.

Zusi looked good. Torres did not.

Agreed. Last 30 minutes shouldn't have been that nervous. Jamaica started pressing more but we laid off big. Best defense is to hold the ball and play in their thrid

I'm done with Torres. He's done nothing to impress me during his caps...give a younger player more PT.

My way too early lineup for next game:

--------Deuce-------------Gomez/Altidore

Donovan-------Bradley---------Zusi

------------------Williams----------------

Johnson---Boca--------Cameron----Dolo

I agree, but I don't know of any younger players that would fill the role Torres hypothetically fills.
My perception is that he is more likely to cause an attack to fizzle out than he is to create a chance.

First off Torres is playing out of position. Secondly he does a job that most of our other midfielders can't and that is make accurate passes to our attackers and make himself available for a return ball. He is constantly looking to play quick balls and one twos. He also puts in a shite defensively. He is great on set plays too. Torres' most important contribution is in his ability to help us keep possession. Sure he isn't the best but he is the best we have as of now.

Put Holden in that lineup and I'll be ecstatic

These things you said are not true.
He's not good defensively, he turns the ball over, and he slows us down.
There's this perception that he's creative and technical and whatever else, but he doesn't deliver those things for us.

I've been saying this for 2+ years now.

I like him. I like watching him play for Pachuca. I think there's a place (in certain games, at certain spots, against certain opponents.... like a lot of players in the pool) for him. As an every game starter, or even most of the game starter?

I don't see it, and never have.

I really don't see what he offers above (I see what he offers that's different) a Feilhaber, Kljestan or Zusi.

They're bit players at the international level.

Zusi looked good last night. Jury is still out on him. Feilhaber is not good enought. Kljestan is a guy that not only be on the roster but probably should have been starting. He had a good year last year at his club. Kljestan, Mix, and Lichaj all need a chance to show their worth.

I don't like Kljestan's face. That's all I've got against him though.

At least when 2010 Feilhaber was "on" he really made a difference. If we had a Benny-esque player that was consistent, that would be great.
Zusi showed last night he's not a weak link against the likes of Jamaica.
