Edu is fricking God awful.

His 66 FIFA rating is deserved. Easily the worst player on the roster. Danny Williams was great today, we should forever banish Edu from the national team.

We won - all that matters! A loss would have put us in some trouble.

Sweet goal!

+1
And we deserved the 3 points.
Just want to see a bit more composure after scoring the goal.

All we need is a Guatemala-Jamaica draw and we are pretty much in the clear.

Good to get the three points. The game was pretty fun up through the goal, and then we seemed kind of lost in the lead.

I expect TN Bhoy to not be able to accurately rate Edu, but damn y'all are harsh on him.

His errant passes are borderline retarded. I could get closer to my teammates with a blind fold on. Yeah he's decent breaking up attacks on occasion, but what good is that if you give it right back to the other team immediately?

So you admit to not watching USMNT games?

I'd almost rather play with 10, we might be a little worse defensively but at least we wouldn't give away every possession that went through his part of the field.

Edu isn't always as bad as he was tonight or he wouldn't be where he is. He was the wrong sub given how the game was going, though. If D Williams didn't earn the d mid spot tonight over Edu then I don't know what to say.
It was a big improvement. If we can ever field a full strength squad, we'll be pretty good.

I would have agreed with you a year ago, but this stuff is just getting retarded. Its the same type of coaching mentality that gets Stuart Downing and Charlie Adam starts (coincidentally, one of those is at Stoke also).

I'm sorry but I just don't come away from this game with that much optimism. Seriously, wtf were we doing with our subs. All of the danger in the first half came from zusi and johnson running deep into the channels and hitting them from central positions. Even before we scored it was like we were starting to ignore those options. Shea was the right choice, but he should've been playing farther up the pitch where he can create. I get subbing off zusi because he was tired, but edu was garbage. After that change, guess what, we end up with 3 DM again. Granted they played hard and were part of getting the three points. Lastly, we put on altidore who apparently has not been playing professional soccer for approximately 10 years and thinks it's a good idea to try fricking backheels when you are trying to ice a game. That was a disaster of a sub.

Dolo was MOTM for me. It is obvious that he and bocanegra are still very important to this squad in terms of not only leadership but talent. Other players who showed well for themselves were cameron, zusi, torres, williams, johnson, and gomez.

Better performance, but this team still lacks direction and some tactical decision making.

Did you miss my post on all the Rangers fans who hate Edu and think he's shite?

I think pairing up Edu and Jones is the real problem. It should be one or the other, because both of them try to do unnatural things when they share the field. Perhaps Jurgy should start Jones and sub on Edu when Jones gets his inevitable yellow card.

Yeah, I admit to not watching the game I just watched. The only game I've missed in the Jurgy era is the Jamaica loss last week.

He's not great, but he's not a blight on the team before God and man like he's made out to be. I don't see such venom displayed towards others who've sucked worse in their USMNT careers. I'm just saying people were jumping down his throat on every mistake when he wasn't even close to being our worst player tonight. He's a decent player.

I think the difference is that his errors are completely mental. And usually not made under pressure. Its just baffling.

Yeah, fair enough.

Was this Dempsey's worst performance for the US? It might have been IMO.
