The Manchester City Football Club 2011-2012 Season Long Thread/Relegation Watch

That was last season...
This year's goals for the Citizens:
1. Stay in the Premier League
We want to solidify ourselves in the EPL. For some of you newcomers to Manchester City and the EPL, the Blues have quite the history of surprise relegations and utter failures, so obviously our #1 goal MUST be to stay in the EPL.
2. Retain a CL Spot
We want to solidify that CL spot, thus tossing on the traditional Top 4 out of the way, and continuing to SWAG all over Europe.
3. Advance to the Knockout Round of the CL
This would be a huge victory for the club. We have had successes in Europe before, albeit, in the 70's and in the Europa League. Advancing deep in the CL would be a great moral victory for the fans and help continue to bring in top talent.
4. Go undefeated against the Scum
Obviously those bags of shite are a bunch of dicks. frick Them
5. Win Silverware
Last year's FA Cup Championship was a major breakthrough for the club. It had been a long, long time since we'd won silverware, so the confidence that's sure to come will hopefully drive us to more and more success.
6. Win the Premier League
We have never won the EPL, and the last time we won the "league" it was the old First Division in 1967–68. What an enormous and proud day that would be to finally best all of England for that ultimate victory.
Personal Goals:
1. Joe Hart retains the "Golden Gloves Award"
2. David Silva goes for the assist in a season record
3. Swagotelli beats United and winks at the whole crowd, again
4. Help the world forget about the Spanish/Catalans

Another goal. Ancelotti replaces Mancini. Way better coach.

Citeh should have went after Pellegrini.

The Spanish version of City got him though. Pellegrini will make Malaga into a force.

I think so too (if they're patient).

Craig Bellamy says he wants to stay at City. Move to Celtic imminent.

why is Man City facing relegation even though the won the FA cup? I am new to the EPL.

It's possible for any team to be relegated in any given year. The EPL relegates the 3 lowest teams on the standings table at the end of each season. Nothing else factors in (as far as I understand).

How about the CL final in Munich?
Posted on 8/2/11 at 11:49 am to BlueMoon
oh yes! i was thinking maybe twice in CL competition and twice more in that stupid other competition that I hate. We'll beat them hopefully 6-7 times this year.
How about changing the goal to:
Undefeated against Man United
