he'll be OK

Oh, I definitely agree. But the fact that England U-21 were eliminated last week and he won't join the team until they return to England and I've read that Downing could join the team while they are still in Asia just indicates that Henderson probably won't be an immediate impact player. I have really high hopes for him in the future though and I love the fact that he just turned 21.

yea, I guess £20 mil wasn't enough

It ended up being £16 mil, fwiw. I don't expect much out of Henderson this season. He is one for the future.

I am very glad to get Downing though. He is exactly what we needed.

Now time to focus on a left back.

midfield up that looks awesome- but I like

Kelly-Carra(skrtel)-Agger- Johnson assuming we don't get a LB

The midfield up is exactly how we should look.

If Agger went 2 months without hurting himself I'd buy you all dinner.

sure, but he's still probably our best defender so if you're putting up a starting 11, he has to be in it.

I guess. I just think we should be a little realistic here and assume he's going to miss over half the season.

Whats the over/under on how long he'll be out. Because I'm sure as hell taking the over no matter what the number.

We are all going to inadvertently become England national team supporters once Henderson, Flanagan, Robinson, Sterling, and others get thrown into the mix. Almost our entire starting XI will be English.

Kelly will be on the next two ENT WC squads.

Also, I know this has been said before but the back line in few years with Flanagan, Robinson, and Kelly

Any truth to Liverpool chasing Higuain?

That would be insanely stupid.

I definitely don't want to sign someone just for the sake of making a big splash, particularly another striker when we have other needs. Even without another marquee name, I definitely feel like this team, with Dalglish at the helm, can finish top 5 and make a run at getting back to the Champions League.

Without a doubt. We were a top 4 team the second half of last season.

If Arsenal doesn't make a splash in the transfer market, I see Liverpool forcing them out of the top 4. Unfortunate because I like Arsenal.

Am I totally out of my mind in saying that I think Pool will finish 3? Is it that far fetched? I think its more likely than not.

I know me too, but if it were us it'd be the only way I'd be ok/happy with it.

Adam is going to be a difference maker for us a la Alonso again. Prob not as good as him, but could make up that difference on set pieces.

So far today his distribution is fantastic.

Some of those long passes on Youtube are unbelievable. Coming from someone whos strength is passing, I seriously can't believe some of the stuff he sends to the attacking 3rd.

he's had some ridiculous balls today in the first half and he's been honestly the only plus for Liverpool. He plays some crazy balls, and it was his audacious pass that earned Liverpool the PK
