I know... movie/tv board but it’s a new series on Netflix and I’ve found it pretty interesting. It’s a British TV drama about the early days of the FA Cup and early professional football
Especially since soccer content is pretty narrow at this point

Things I’ve learned from this show:
1. Early keepers sucked
2. Rich people are the devil
3. Scotland > England

I’ve heard good things about this show. Probably going to start watching soon.

I couldn't get into it, but I only watched one episode and was extremely tired... may give it another go..

quote:It must be hard to find actors that can look like competent keepers. They look absolutely awful in damn near every movie/show. shite, Sylvester Stallone has probably been one of the best on-screen keepers, and he was still awful.

Not really a historical documentary on the game per se, but more of a social commentary at the time with soccer as a back story. I thought it was decent.

Yeah, pretty much this. As far as a tv show goes it’s pretty bad, imho. Everyone feels like a ridiculous caricature, and yet...I still kind of liked it.

Men in Blazers reviewers this a few days ago and basically said it was shite. Still might give it a try depending on boredom levels

Real Madrid approves of this sophomorish product, I'm sure.

I liked it. Googled most of the people and learned some cool stuff to go along with it. Thought it was an entertaining and quick binge-watch.

I liked it, my wife, who is not a soccer fan agreed to watch with me and she liked it so it was a win for us. I also learned a lot by researching the names and places, interesting stuff.

Season 2 of Sunderland Til I Die hits Netflix tomorrow.

Is that true for the US too? I know Netflix UK announced it, but couldn't find if it applied to the US as well (I hope so), also hope we get season 2 of Leeds Take Us Home, because both were excellent
