The buildup to Reyna’s goal

That was the best two minutes of possession I’ve ever watched from the US. We completed something like 26 straight passes. We probed. Worked back. Probed. Worked back. Probed again. Made a great pass to the center. Flipped the field. Then stayed composed in front of the box.
Literally beautiful.
Literally beautiful.

Seeing a coach finally make use of all our talent is a sight to behold. Reminds me of Bielsa finally unlocking Chile.

Back in like 15, we had 30+ against Germany before scoring possessing the ball for 90 seconds, but agreed. Buildup was solid.

A few things impressed me with this team
We didn’t panic on the ball, especially in our half.
The US always had a rep for grittiness, but the way we fought for every ball was something to be proud of.
I have never seen that level of short area passing and chemistry with our national team.
It looks like we are finally playing our style of soccer and not trying to force one that doesn’t really fit us.

Sounds like my sex life but I typically don’t have a beautiful finish like that.
