I'm sure that there are some Rupert Murdoch looking referees somewhere in the US who are still sticklers about it.

I never had a problem. I was a CB, I was doing the tugging, stomping and body checking. Refs were more worried about what I was doing, much more so, than whether or not my strip was tucked in.

Pirlo still tucks his too.
I tucked back in the day because jerseys back then were baggy as hell although I don't remember it being a rule.
Nowadays jerseys are more form fitting so I keep them untucked. Although sometimes I do a backwards half tuck. Not real sure why but its something I've done for awhile.

Seems 93 could have still been feeling the effects of the 80s (read:tight). I came of age in the late 90s/early 2000s. That shite was baggy. In highschool and for club our kits were diadora and must have weighed 5 lbs when wet. And they fit like a potato sack to boot.
