Chelsea, hop on the bandwagon. Pride of London, and you can help Keep the Blue Flag Flying High. How can you argue with Didier Drogba, Michael Essien, John Terry, Ashley Cole, Super Frank Lampard, Florent Malouda, Salomon Kalou, Alex, Zhirkov, Anelka and young superstars like Gael Kakuta, Sam Hutchinson, and Daniel Sturridge? Financially stable and soon to do the domestic double in England. Not to mention we are about to sign Fernando Torres, haha. In all seriousness good luck picking a team and I applaud you for your early elimination of Man United. That alone makes you good in book. Also your respect for the EPL which is far and away the best league in the world. I feel confident you'll make the right decision, Blue is the Colour!

Agreed I did too, but something about Everton is just completely blah to me. Not really based on any certain thing but in the whole watch some teams and see who appeals to you thing, Everton is just completely unappealing for me.

To me a good thing about becoming a fan of soccer in my mid-twenties instead of as a kid is that I could just watch every match and enjoy it without having a rooting interest.

Just buy FSC for $5 a month and watch whatever EPL match is on. You'll probably start to like individual players and pick a team based on that.

FWIW, you picked about the best time to start getting into it. The WC should be awesome even if the refs cheat us out of it.

this, a football fan will watch any match. watch, get a feel for styles of teams and leagues, pick one that suits you. don't be afraid to pick one in the bottom half as well. relegation battles can be just as exciting as top fours.

Super is an understatement. Show me another midfielder that has scored 20+ goals the last 5-6 years. Not to mention he is second in the EPL right now in assists. Most productive club midfielder in the world and it's really not possible to argue.

I guess it all depends on what you want to label guys like Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo. A good argument can also be made for Cesc Fabregas and even Steven Gerrard.

However, I think Lampard is definitely underrated by the MSB fans.

Are the best matches to watch. When Fulham went on their run to stay in the PL it was classic.

He is certainly a player to be reckoned with. He is a goal scorer and seriously talented. But, his douche factor has to weigh in.

He probably was just trying to get away from those dirty Mexican players with his career intact. He's like 19 years old, he's been stellar in the very limited time he's got this season. Definitely star potential.
