Assuming most of us are fans of both sports that are about to get underway, which are you more excited about? If you had asked me 5 years ago I would have told you there would never be a sport that could even approach college football and my give a crap meter. The fact I live in the heart of SEC country and am immersed in this culture and have the opportunity to attend several big football games a year probably keeps college football ahead, but thank God for soccer as it is SO REFRESHING to have a sport to root for where I don't have to worry about computer rankings and mindless biased dolts voting to determine the "champion" each season.

Pretty sure I see what you did there. If so, my point stands. What would you think about the World Cup if my vote helped determine who won it?

Hmmmmmh difficult question. My Rangers are coming off a Championship and LSU is a year or two away in the "Cycle" but I get to see the Cowboys/Tiger game this year and I'm not due back in Scotland...lot of variables but I am still a bit more excited about LSU...but it's close....

EPL officiating is generally MUCH better than what we saw in the World Cup. Granted the fact that most players in the English leagues don't flop around like all the Latin teams in the WC makes their job much easier. Besides, it's not like the SEC has a very good track record (unless you're a bama fan of course).

I love college football and it's still my #1 sport but it could be so much better without this stuff. I have argued with SFP until I'm blue in the face and I still don't see how anyone can rationally support the BCS.

I am looking forward to Arsenal at Anfield more than any LSU game.

just finished fever pitch. forget the year, but arsenal had to win by 2 at anfield to win the league and they did it in stoppage time or some shite. sounded so bad arse.

I love college football. I don't like baseball, basketball or any women's sport. I would love to see more EPL games. People don't realize how competitive and talented that league is.

I'm slightly more excited for college football...but just barely. The gap between that and EPL has never been more narrow...

SFP has made a life out of being a pseudo internet intellectual by trying make "rational" arguments for things that make no rational sense. Nobody can seriously believe this is a legit way to determine a "champion", anyone who says otherwise is getting paid a lot of money to do so or just trying to be "that guy" who likes to be different and argue.

It happens every year; I always think I'll never care about any sport more than soccer, until another Saturday involving the Tigers rolls around. Then I completely turn into a different person. I love the sport of soccer with nearly every fiber of my being, but if God made me choose between the two, I don't think I could sacrifice those 12-14 days of LSU football every fall.

The really great thing is how they fit together. Most of the EPL games are done before the big college football games get started.

I'm pretty excited for both, but give me a couple weeks to pick one. If Tottenham make it to the group stages, EPL may win out for me this year.
