The Women could win the next three world cups and the Men would have still lost money from this one

They are expecting prize pool from next womens world cup to double to $60 million.

The men should get their entire prize pool, but if the women's pool keeps doubling every 4 years like it has the previous 2 world cups the men wont get screwed in the long run

It won’t keep doubling, but if it does the women will just renegotiate a new agreement after the current one expires if there is a chance the men could benefit more than them.

That is the expectation due to promises made before the recent recession from some of the main partners. The problem is that the excess for those companies is drying up, and this was already going to be a negative advert, but a feel good and to avoid backlash. It may approach $60MM, but it will not continue to double as the viewership and non-discretionary funds that have been present for a decade are drying up.

The issue is that both these revenue pool growths were inflated above the value as is the one for 2023. The Women's World Cup cannot afford to continue to balloon a prize pool larger than the revenue. This would also assume that the Men's team doesn't continue to grow and that the World Cup Pool doesn't grow as well. With 2026 being on our shores, I fully anticipate to see the revenue pool balloon. I also hope we can see the game continue to grow as much from 2026 as it did in 1994 here. The leaps and bounds from the 70's-80's to the 90's-00's is astronomical. The run by the current group and 2026 could absolutely be what we need to become a consistent top 12 unit where qualifying for the round of 16 is the expectation, and making the semis isn't a pipe dream that we could get lucky and find.

This is not a good deal for the Men. It doesn't have to be though as their club teams are where they make their living and not the National team.

Just double checked and for making the knockouts in 2014 Under their labor contract, U.S. men got $55,000 each for making the 2014 World Cup roster, then split $4.3 million for earning four points in the group stage and reaching the knockout stage. That calculated to just under $187,000 per player.

that is of the $9 Million in prize money given to the USSF for USMNT making it to the knockouts.

So in 2014 the players got 47%, in 2022 they will get 50% (plus some extra money from womens world cup). This isn't as big a deal as you guys are making it out to be.

So to sum it up, THE MEN ARE GETTING A HIGHER PERCENTAGE THAN THEIR PREVIOUS SPLIT
