Red Bull used to have a team in the Russian junior hockey league (well they did for 2 seasons). They were terrible.

I'm sure most people on here appreciate different perspectives. It's just the way you and more of our more European posters go about presenting it some of the time.

Fans don't want it. People around the world love to white knight for German clubs saying that it would help them against Big Bad Bayern but fail to take into account that the German fans don't want sugar daddies. There's a reason ticket prices are low and they have the best fan support in Europe and a big part of that is the 50+1 rule.
That makes sense.
I would think RB spending money and becoming more successful would create new fans in the surrounding area, but obviously that's just a guess.

I don't think anything in this thread in particular was presented in a bad way.

Well problem is their small fans base has no say in club affairs so why would anyone looking for a club want to be a part of that.
It also makes them more hated by everyone else. To the point ultras from other clubs just travel there to cause trouble. Or even worse they couple hundred RB fans who attend away matches get attacked on the regular.

If they start winning, get some big names, don't price gouge fans at every turn, and create a safe environment then they will develop a fanbase. You can say "this isn't American fan culture" all you want, but it will happen if they do those things.

Not when even locals do not like the team. In a City of half a million people they average 29k people. Lots of people don't want anything to do with the club. They already gouge fans bc no one is paying 800 euro for a membership. Thats more expensive than Man United season tickets. Just think about for a min. The life line of German clubs and fan culture is its members. But since the club has a hand full of members they have no one to answer too in regards of club/fan affairs.

Like I said, they would have to change how they do some of their business. But if they were to do the things I mentioned, they would build a solid fanbase, at least in Leipzig.

You said that Americans "don't understand," which is just hilarious to think that we are incapable of understanding the situation.

dont be a c*nt
I said I don't expect some people to understand
clearly from this thread some people don't understand and needed the situation explained. You stated that they don't care about whats going on.
If people don't care about whats wrong and why people hate RB then thats on them.

It's not used as much here, partly because it's like at a higher level than more common vulgarities. It's tossed around a lot more freely over there.
It's the only word that gives a little shock to my system when I hear it in American media. It was dropped a few times at the end of Gone Girl, and I wasn't expecting it.

Speaking of vulgar, y'all ever read Portnoy's Complaint? I'm like 50 pages in and that shite is wild so far.
