Club website is the only legit way. Since its at Liverpool you will for sure have to be a member and that match will probably go to member points or a ballot. I'd suggest a different match

LINK

Non approved websites, so pretty much all of them out there.

Some clubs have something set up with stub hub or viagogo.

I've never bought tickets that way, but in the days prior to matches, all of the Everton twitter accounts I follow are always retweeting supporters who have extras to sell.

If you strike out that may be something to look into.

More because they're more likely to be neutrals, or simply due to tourist status? I would think tourist supporters of a club wouldn't be frowned upon, or no?

Lots of time locals don't want them. Yea it sucks but they will blame a lack of atmosphere to the people from other countries.

yep. from what i remember when i purchased tottenham v. united tickets at white hart lane i had to purchase a membership from their website. and then, they had different tiered status of membership levels, making first choice tickets on certain dates available to higher level members and so on.

luckily we were still able to get tickets, although not great ones. what i remember most was that their ticket system would be amazing and affordable for big time matches if you were a local fan compared to what the US equivalent would be to a big time matchup in an american league, but it's a complete nightmare for tourists who want one off tickets.

still super glad we went through the headache of purchasing seats though, it was a memorable experience and one i'm glad i didn't pass on.
