No cause of death released yet, but he was in need of a heart transplant not that long ago.

Sigi is one of the most influential people in the history of American soccer. RIP

Between his time at UCLA, various stints in MLS, and the youth national teams, Sigi had a huge impact on American soccer, and was successful nearly everywhere he went.
Many professionals were mentored by him. He will be greatly missed.

Has had much more of an impact on the success of US soccer long-term than people like Gulati.
