Maybe for the January camp, but in terms of A or even B team, He would be below Altidore, Bacon, GAM, healthy-Gomez, Boyd and probably even Wondo in the player pool depth chart.

Yes.
Should he be in contention for a roster spot for the World Cup? No.
But he should be given a run out for Camp Cupcake.
Christ alive, we brought Robbie Findley and Edson Buddle to the last World Cup, and Robbie Rogers was one of the final cuts. He can't be (dramatically) worse.

He didn't get called up for the Gold Cup did he? Either way LA was dumb to let him go.
