“Sceptics point to the Bin Zayed Group’s high-profile but ultimately fruitless bid to purchase Liverpool last year.
When The National sought further details from the conglomerate yesterday, there was a reluctance to comment.” #nufc

My skepticism aside, if I was somehow able to rid my life of both Joe Alleva and Mike Ashley within the span of a few months idk what I would do with myself. Strippers and blow for a week?

They literally gave a comment almost 24 hours ago.

Yet no comment from the club confirming terms have been agreed, just an acknowledgment they are in talks with the group who released the statement.
The problem has never been a lack of bidders for Newcastle United. The problem has always been with Ashley and selling Newcastle will disrupt his business model with SportsDirect. Until he signs the dotted line there’s no reason to be anything but skeptical of yet another takeover saga.

I understand this for sure. It looks legit, but like you said, with Ashley you never what he is going to pull.

Isn’t nufc often subject to takeover bid stories? I know safc were long before Short actually sold, and i believe I’ve seen bullshite stories for boro as well. Something about the northeast just breeds these stories.
All shite talking aside I hope it goes through and that it’s successful. All three of those fan bases deserve ownership that is half as loyal and dedicated as they are.

What happened with that woman that wanted to buy the club a couple of years ago?

So you’re saying i should support Newcastle ?

Ashley kept changing terms because he didn’t really want to sell the club and eventually she went away.
This is the same guy who once said any prospective buyers would have to first purchase a suite before entering into negotiations
