That dude might as well have a bald eagle tattooed on his chest.

From what I read when I googled this kids name, there's next to no chance of us getting him. He's scheduled to play for Germany this week or possibly already has and then the whole thing is over.

He turned down the callup to the U17 German team. There's still not a great chance we get him, IMO but that's because it's hard as frick to become a citizen of the US and then the British are going to dicks about the work permits issue.

He just declined the call up for the Germany U-17 side a couple of days ago.

Apparently the second choice is Ethiopia, or so I read. His parents want him to represent Ethiopia. I hope there's a chance, it just looked like an extreme long shot from what I read.

He can wear an Ethiopia undershirt or something but he'll never play for them.

There's a better chance that he plays for Antarctica than he does for Ethiopia.

I don't know what it all means. I'll stop being a downer. He's apparently a proud Ethiopian with German citizenship, legal reisdency in the US, works in England. Complicated case!

Some here had to have a sister or daughter to offer up for marriage.
Wouldn't do any good as he would still have to go through the whole process. My sister-in-law is 9 years into getting her citizenship and was told it could be another 5. The fact that he lives outside the US also slows down how long it would take him to get it.

He wouldn't need a work permit as he would still hold German citizenship

Think the Germans are weird about dual citizenship

They maybe but neither Jones or Williams needed a work permit to play in England

Their situations were much different than Zelalem's.

I looked it up and they only allow dual citizenship if one of your parents are German.

I may be wrong, but none of us born here do.
