Remove the stars from the US crest?

Pretty much every country adds the stars for a world cup win.
What do the stars on the US crest even represent? the Gold Cup maybe?

Its not that bad because they're on the crest itself. The ball is what needs to be removed.

The World Cup Stars go above the crest. The stars in the crest represent the country. Like in the flag.

Fair question. I don't like how one is bigger than others. If you are going to have stars they should at least be the same design as on the flag. I'm all for revamping the entire crest. Use the old school one from the 50s.

Also, USA have won the Gold Cup 4x. I really think the stars are just there to symbolize the "stars" in the "stars and stripes". It also pisses me off that the stripes are blue and not red. Really the crest shield is garbage and needs updating.

Yeah, the crest is backwards if it is supposed to represent our flag. Whose idea was it to put the stars on a red background and make the stripes blue.

Couldn't agree more. The "Don't Tread on Me" shield with the rattlesnake would be incredible. We should use that.

i have asked this before ,and i think it is retarded to have them, it is so obvious to look like championshsip of some type.
only other countries that have stars in the crest as well as on theeir flag, have the same number of stars on crest and flag(algeria, ghana, north korea, paraguay, chile, all have one)(honduaras has 5 small stars on crest, and five on flag)new zealand has multiple stars on flag ,none on crest) australia has stars on flag, and crest, but not obvious like the US.
we look like wannabes

Why does Uruguay have 4 stars? They only have 2 World Cup championships.

The ball is the worst part, IMO. I do like the one with the snake, even though it has a ball on it. At least there's a snake wrapped around it and it wasn't made to look like it was in motion. I'd rather it say USA SOCCER instead of US SOCCER, but that's just me.
