Why does Uruguay have 4 stars? They only have 2 World Cup championships.

4 stars - 2 for Olympic championships prior to the inception of the WC. Makes sense.

The 3 STARS on the US badge represent the 3 coasts on the US.. Pacific, Atlantic, and Gulf....

This would be simply badass. Plus we could also have a red kit.

The crest should be the following:

current shield shape

1950-shield stripe/star/text design

the snake on the red/white stripes like on the Dont tread shield

the same script below reading: "Don't Tread On Me" or something else referring to American history and/or imperialism. Either/or I don't care.

When I get home I'll try and create one in paint.

I believe the stars signify the three national teams of the U.S. - men's, women's, and youth.

Not a big fan of using the DTOM as the official badge, better used as fan gear. However, I'd be all for a retro looking shield badge like the one shown above.

This badge adapted the US Soccer with the ball from adidas, by Nike in 1993 when they got the kit contract.
