That was really emotional, with some good intelligent thoughts thrown in, but almost as emotional as this board got yesterday.

I get where he is coming from on the players with no experience but like I've said before non of us really know what kind of form Landon is in. My personal opinion though I think I would have still brought him in over Green.

It´s about the group, and stimulating some to step up and do something (yeah, Clint Dempsey).
As for leader, it´s Baby Brad´s side.

I can see Bradley being the captain for the 2018 campaign.

The iconoclastic greatest US player of all time was never the leader this cycle. Never.
Simply an inspiration at times, and worthy of great respect.

Here's the Lalas, Twellman & Mark Connolly podcast. They break down every possible scenario that could've led to Donovan's cut. I know nobody really likes these guys, but it's pretty informative and Twellman pretty much debunked the whole "out of shape" theory.

frickin´ a. I´m listening to it, and Lalas sounds as if he´s not the a-hole he is.
Anyway, Donovan could have contributed in the WC, of this I have no doubt. Not as a starter, or if starting, could be pulled off early (which could be worse than all the shite that´s going on now).
ETA God, Twellman´s a douchebag. I turned it off after his dogs going out the door shite.

I always like to count the number of times Taylor says "I'm glad you brought that up, I was just about to say...."

Ray mad. He's definitely right about the amount of pressure this puts on them to perform.

As much as I don't like Twellman, he has broke just about every story over the last year.

Who was the player Kilinsman's son compared to Landon in the second tweet that he deleted 26 seconds after putting it up? Twellman mentioned it in that podcast but said he didn't want to name the player.
ETA: how have we never talked about Jurgen saying the bridge between he and Landon has been burned back at the Italy friendly?

I thought the point that Marc Connolly made (Berti Vogts leaving off Lothar Matthaus in 1994 because Matthaus and Jurgen didn't get along) and how replacing Martin Vazquez with (drumroll) Berti Vogts has led to the exclusion of Landon and the Mexi-Americans.
Interesting stuff. I think people would be well served to listen to the podcast.

You´re right, there´s some interesting stuff. However, it is very painful to listen to them. Nearly nails on chalkboard painful.
