Just curious, and try to take your Chelsea fandom out of this, where do you see CP on the national team in the WC and what situation for him is best for the USMNT?

To be totally honest, and I know this will go over like a lead balloon but I don't really care much about the national team anymore. It's an exciting group and I'm a big Weston McKennie fan but I can't overlook the wokeness that I despise the way some people are able to do. When I watch a game and see rainbow numbers and trans flags everywhere with a bunch of try hard liberal gaylords stealing all of their atmosphere ideas from other countries my peen goes soft.
Therefore I don't care about what is best for CP and the USMNT, I want what's best for Chelsea. I think CP has a ton of talent, arguably the most of any American ever, but he's mentally and physically soft at this level and I don't trust him to be a guy you can count on to play the lion share of 90 min week in and week out.

It's hard to argue with that based on the last few years, unfortunately.

That’s a fair point

Ever since Trinidad I have lost pretty much all interest in the USMNT. I somewhat Lee up with them, but couldn’t tell you the last match I watched.
Glad I’m not the only one

I watch every match but I understand how all the extra stuff (pride flags and kits, etc.) would turn people off. I’m not a big fan of it either.

Y'all must be spending all your time pausing your stream and hunting for rainbow flags. I honestly do not notice, and am not butthurt by a few flags. The fanbase is not monolithic, or exclusive.

It's literally the easiest thing to ignore... unless you are looking for it wand want to be outraged.

They had a whole window where they wore pride kits and the team put out a statement on trans rights. It is there and in your face. I can ignore it but to act like it isn’t a choice for the MNT to push an agenda is being ignorant.

No they didn't, it was two friendlies during a 4-match Nations League window.

Find me a sports league that doesn't push an agenda.

He’s likely talking about the women’s team regarding trans rights, but I see how he could have made that mistake. These are very confusing times.
US women's national soccer team stars wore messages of support for trans kids during a game in Texas

If I had to guess, that’s two more than most other countries.

For example, the Texas Rangers are the only MLB team that doesn’t host a gay pride night.
I am a die hard rangers because that’s who I grew up watching, because my stepdad was an actual Texas Ranger and because they do no pander to political movements.
Teams exist that have a backbone and disagree with the rest of you weirdos that sexuality needs to be advertised at every chance.

I suggest you find something else to watch. I don’t like all the gay/trans pride stuff, but I just don’t watch. In fact I started rooting for the England NT.
You’re letting this get you way too worked up.

Like I said, to those of you who can ignore it I envy you somewhat.
It's not just that, it started with the recruitment of a bunch of fake Americans who were sloppy seconds from the countries they really wanted to play for
Also, most of the time the US is on it means I have to listen to that smug vagine Taylor Twellman, which may be the biggest downside of all.
Ultimately, as much as I love the game, I just do not like American soccer culture whatsoever.
