Say what you will, but Canada's is pretty awesome.

Love that anthem. That video of the stanley cup playoff where the singer just stops and lets the crowd sing. Awesome. Can't link it at work.

Ours is good, but the words in the other verses are more powerful. Wish we would use those.

Agreed. Last verse FTW

quote:

O thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war's desolation.
Blest with vict'ry and peace, may the Heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation!
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

I always think of "Hunt for the Red October" when I hear the Russian national anthem.

Was the Greece/CR game worth watching? I followed the gamecast comments, and it seemed like it was a terrible game full of fouls.

One of their defenders plays for 1860 Munchen too, but they don't count and he doesn't count.

This Poland Midfield to Striker linkup is looking incredibly deadly these first 20 minutes.

Lewandowski blew up this year. He made Lucas Barrios irrelevant.

This dude Obreniak is looking fricking good.

Every time Keller mentions Stark I expect to see a Dire Wolf run onto the field.

Yeah, he looks very composed, great movement, and a nice touch on the ball. Whether it's distributing, or controlling passes.

There is plenty of quality on the Polish team. They just struggle at times to realize that they are not a bad side at all.
