Really enjoyed the 3 episodes (obviously). Like Jose a lot. He’s my kind of a-hole. Also think Dele is responding the right way. One thing concerning is Harry basically says he wants to be galatico, which I think we all know, but still sort of makes me realize the clock is ticking.

We are gonna get a trophy this year. I think it’s amazing that we have gotten 2 starters for what levy pays his intern.

Also, Bezos is about to buy us. The future is bright boys!

Anyone else confused by our inability to sign a back up striker in this window? We have zero chance of competing all season if they don't do something soon. There is no chance Kane holds up with the fixtures we have pilled up. This should have been priority number one.

Think it's hinged onto Aurier getting sold. It's pretty much one in, one out at this point in time when it comes to foreign player slots.

I'm semi-confident it will happen

Any truth to the rumors that they may keep CCV this season?

He did really, really well in the Championship last season but I doubt they keep him. Maybe another loan. I'd rather keep him then buy Kim Min Jae though.

Everyone pretty much says that he's good, but he just doesn't have that top end of the Prem level of talent.

Well, at least we now know that Levy knows what a striker is.

Sissoko and Aurier start on the bench. Ndebele still hasn’t worked his way into the starting lineup.

Arguably the best game of opening weekend is on Peacock TV. WTF is up with that.

Btw Peacock isn’t necessary. I had “First Row” tickets for years now

Pretty good half of football. Pickford made two great saves on the Alli and Doherty shots. Kane just barely missed an opportunity. Swap Lo Celso with Winks and this is a nice team.

Quality of Doherty in the attacking 3rd is already showing itself.

Props to Everyon they played a nice half too.

Agreed. Still holding out hope for a PEH, Lo Celso, and Ndombele midfield though.
Finally have a strong bench as well.

I'm glad Spurs signed Doherty, but it's a bit of a shame that Trippier moved on. He would've fit in much better in this system compared to Poch's.

That 2nd half was awful to watch. Not sure I can stomach many more like that. We just have no ability to break teams down. We badly need Ndombele to show enough to get Winks out the lineup.

Fellas I have the feeling the wheels are about to fall off of this thing. We have needed a back up striker for 2 years and now we're being linked with 5m rated Bas Dost

I don't trust anything unless it comes from Fabrizio, but this just keeps getting worse. Clubs like Newcastle who have an owner that doesn't even want to own them are able to spend 20m on Wilson and we can't get a deal over the line for anyone.

I keep telling myself to give Mourinho time, but the 2nd half display against Everton was like watching a game from last season on DVR. We have absolutely zero creativity or ability to break teams down. There were 20 minute periods in both halves vs Everton that we couldn't even get the ball much less keep it. I'm not sure we created a chance in the second half and when most teams would be pushing for an equalizer in the last ten minutes we were chasing ghosts. There is no identity to this team. We don't press well enough to be a pressing team, we don't counter well enough to be a counter team, and we can't keep possession enough to be a possession team. We are literally stuck somewhere in between the way Mourinho likes to play and how we have played for the last 5 years.

What makes this harder to stomach is that we had a huge opportunity/window to invest in this squad and give Poch a real chace and we failed to do that for 2 years. I hope I'm wrong, but I think we're on the verge of a painful rebuild.

You're not wrong here.

I want to see a match with Gio & Ndombele before I say scrap the entire thing and call Harry Redknapp along with Crouch, Kranjcar, and Pavlyuchenko.
