Fact is guys, we had 3 "easy" get knocked downs in our offensive box, because our guys have no faith at all in their own ability to score or their teammates, so a penalty is our only hope at scoring. That does not speak well for how they feels things are working within the team.
I think every formation from here on out has to feature two forwards. I don't give a crap what happens behind it (as long as Sakho is part of the CBs) because whatever it is will be muddled and halfway ineffective.

If the best we can do is draw Carlisle at home, we have to fire him right?

LOL NO.
But I fricking wish.
Tons of possession, and like a hundred shots from 20, 25, 30, 50 yards out.

Literally none of those stats matter. I would be happy with 1% possession every game if we won.

Actually this match cannot end in a draw. It will go to penalties if it must.

I apologize as I did not know that but that doesn't take away from the face this game might have to go to extra time/penalties to be decided.

Definitely. It's embarrassing regardless of the result at this point.

Dang don't tell me we can't break our "no more than 1 goal" streak even against these guys???

quote:Yeah I was generalizing it a bit. As long as we draw, he will claim that they haven't lost. My frustration is he always has excuses. We lose to ManU, well they are a big team. We lose to West Ham, well we played poorly but showed great character. Always excuses with him. He's done rotated the team out about 2 times now and we still suck. The one constant is him and Skrtel, whom both need to be on the way out.

Here are some fun facts.
• Carlisle United currently play in the 2nd division, which is the fourth tier of English football.
• Carlisle United were almost relegated last season.
• Carlisle United have given up more goals than any club currently in 2nd Division.
• Exactly one year ago today it took 14 penalties for Liverpool to defeat Middlesbrough in the League Cup.
• We have clearly come a long way since 2014.
• This match is vintage Brendan Rodgers.
• frick off to Championship, Brendan.

38 f'n shots and only one goal. I'm fairly certain I could do better.

I wonder what John Henry is thinking as he watches this debacle? Or maybe he has no fricking clue what he's watching? We can only hope that with the expansion he has to want positive momentum and enthusiasm going into next season.

If he's watching at all...

As I was typing it I was wondering the same thing.

In pretty sure countinho hasn't taken at least 10 of those from 20yds put

We ended up with 47 shots on target with 1 goal. That's incredible. I mean - I can't even begin to desribe the level of mediocrity that requires.

I wish we would have lost to further the fire Rodgers cause. I would gladly have lost this battle, or any battle in the near future, if it means we can win the war sooner.

Is it wrong that I think Lovren getting injured is a positive in this game? That should keep Rodgers from even thinking about starting him for a while, right? Right?
