Rodgers will put Bogdan in the midfield before he eats crow and puts Lucas there.
Yup and Sakho won't be on the bench.
Lovren was FANTASTIC and showed great character the first two games.
Two clean sheets! Why mess with the defense?
And Gomez will def start.

To me, Rodgers is managing like he's scared as shite of losing his job
And instead of believing in what he preached about for so long or doing things we've done in the past, he's resorted to managing a relegation zone style - keep it close and hope for a lucky bounce or a moment of brilliance. That and him being super egotistical and delusional about the squad and his abilities are killing us.
Was just thinking how much I used to enjoy going back and watching last week's game during the week to see the tactical side of things and for pure entertainment. Now, it disgusts me thinking of the shite product with no direction we put on he field.
What happened to death by possession? High pressing? Now it's sit back and when we get the ball, hoof it long. No reason for us to get dominated for the majority of the game by Bournemouth. Yes, they played well and weren't afraid to stick to their style, but that's a club we should be imposing our will on.
Not even mentioning the way he's treated so many players. You'll never walk alone? No one's bigger than the club? No. No one's bigger than you and you're taking it upon yourself to let everyone know it.
Yea Brendan, I think you may have lost me

I'm not a big fan of Brendan like the rest of yall but the season is still super early and we have 6pts. I feel pretty positive about the way this season will pan out and if we get a good result against arsenal then I'll be super stoked. Yeah he's stubborn as hell and puts out questionable lineups but hey 2 clean sheets is 2 clean sheets and lovern really hasn't been terrible like last year. I'm more worried about Gomez than anything. Arsenal is a different animal compare to stoke and bourn so we'll see.

I wish you were joking, but sadly I think you're spot on... Maybe next summer we can convince Klopp to end that Sabbatical

Is this realistic? I'd be over the moon if he took over. That would be a hell of a hire for us.

Just read a few articles that say he wants the job. Of we miss out on Klopp for keeping Rodgers around, that would officially be the worst ownership decision since forever.

I don't know how serious it is... But i'm fairly certain it's a big enough club where he'd at least seriously consider it.

With news Hendo likely won't play, what formation are we going to trot out?
I'd like to see Lucas slide in a the base of a midfield diamond, but that's probably a pipedream at this point.
Clyne-Skrtel-Lovren-Gomez
Can
Milner-Cou
Lallana-Ibe
Benteke

God damn, so much negativity in this thread! How about we scale back our expectations while the season is still new. We're bedding in 5 new faces (just like last year). Let's revisit this in December, and for now focus on Arsenal, who are also struggling (just like everyone else).

You are right about scaling back. The problem is that Rodger's has been a total and complete a-hole for awhile now and has treated some really good individuals like shite. Karma is a bitch and when a bag like Rodger's falters he doesn't get the benefit of the doubt, nor does he deserve it. I've looked at this season with a positive spin:
-We win then everything is good because we are winning.
-We lose then we can offload BR and maybe reel in Klopp.

I'm not his biggest fan, but I'd think he needs to play... But a lot could happen before Monday and he may not be our player anymore..

And yes, I try not to be negative, but damn those last two matches were frustrating to watch. A lot more due to tactics and putting players in positions they would have difficulty succeeding than player performances and all that stuff. I really want to trust him going forward, but it's been difficult going from the end of last season to this one.

Id gladly get on board for that. Though I wouldnt mind seeing Ings, Origi, or Firmino for Lallana. He just hasnt done much of anything. I think Can is a must start with no Hendo. He anchors the midfield really. The past 2 matches, our organization and play really picked up when Can entered.
Or a slight variation
Clyne-Skrtle-Lovren-Gomez
Can-Milner
Firmino-Coutinho-Ibe
Teke

I don't really have high expectations for our squad this year because we have a manager whose proven that he doesn't know shite about tactics. Most of the signings that he makes have been a joke. He had the biggest war chest in England available to him over the past two years and what's he done with it? He loses Sterling and Luis... and signs Milner? Seriously?! Meanwhile man u are signing Schweinsteiger and Depay, etc.
Are you telling me you wouldn't trade Klopp for Rodgers?
p.s. where'd you come up with your username? I used to live in france and love Meursault.

Oh, I'd swap them in a heartbeat. I just don't think it's the way we should be thinking. Actually I guess it doesn't really matter what we think.
I'm just looking for improvement. We saw improvement after the Stoke match. If it keeps up... Who knows. I'm not finished with Rodgers yet, personally. And I do think we finish top 4. But I'm an eternal optimist. So there's that.

I have been, but last season really broke me...
I have vented a lot this summer, but I still hold out hope that this team clicks, at least offensively... I definitely feel it's going to take a little time to gel and see what works
I'm also anxiously awaiting the return of Studge... and I'm optimistic his muscular issues have been fixed!

Me too... Last season had me almost throwing things at certain points.

The problem is, even if we find something that works, doesn't mean BR will stick with it.

God I hope so, it'd be nice to have Teke and Studge up front

Milner has done more for our midfield than you will know. He is one of the main reasons for our 6 points. He was was a FANTASTIC signing and on a free.

And apparently we should have signed Memphis Depay. :/
Meh. He's been average in both league games. He's a good player, and of course I would have loved to have him, but I'm waiting a bit before anointing him the second coming.
