It really is ugly. Cou pushes it wide to Ibe, Ibe brings it deep, and nobody comes forward or fills. Its Teke on an island right now.

Also, Lovren got lucky on that call early in the match because that should have been a Bournemouth goal on that corner.

But hey! Atta boy Teke!!!

Rodgers should be left nowhere near deciding what players to buy or start. Gerrard shouldn't have played half the time he did season before last. I also question his scheming abilities. In fact, he shouldn't be anywhere near a football club, let alone trying to revive a historical powerhouse.

didn't notice them... but we sure could use Sturridge right about now. I'm dubious about the Benteke signing. He's never really impressed me.

He poached a goal that should've been disallowed and he worked his arse off. Can't fault him today. There was absolutely zero service into the box. We looked like crap. Did Henderson injure himself?

Uh what?

He was hands down our best player. Got zero service and still was dangerous. Caused havoc up there and his link up play was great for the 2nd game of the year.

Everyone else needs to step the F up. Although Lovren was pretty good again minus a couple of his requisite WTF clearances.

It was frustrating. Not bad, but we just don't look too impressive right now.

You'll wish for your 90 minutes back.

We don't look "bad bad" just way out of sink like last season.

Big Ben looks freaking bomb though.

And I'll take 6 pts and 5 clear of Chelsea all day long.

Clyne was excellent. Lovren.. meh. still shaky as frick 1 v 1. Gomez is going to be a star.

Lots of positives but they need to get the midfield sorted. We really struggled when Bornemouth turned on the press.

Still don't understand why we are using the 4-2-3-1, when we looked so much better with a 4-3-3. This and with sakho, markovic, and Lucas on the bench is starting to really frustrate me. I thought with coaching changes etc we would see something different, but it honestly looks like BR is going to continue to be his old stubborn self. It will either work, or it won't. Can't wait for Sturridge to be back because this will essentially force his hand into using the 4-4-2 diamond

about 20 minutes in and I'm wondering why Coutinho is playing on the right and Lallana central??? AL has been pretty invisible...

Cou at the tip. Firminio/Milner on the left and right and Henderson back.

I think Henderson can be a solid DM. He really has the ability and mobility with Firminio, Coutinho and Milner pressing their asses off and offering support.

I think you gotta flip Firmino and Coutinho... Firmino would be wasted playing that deep..

Brendan Rodgers is in way over his head. Of course his ego thinks he is Liverpool when in reality he is more Swansea. I hope Im wrong or Fenway figures it out quick.

I guess they can interchange? I haven't seen enough of Firminio to know if he can lead the tip.

It's hard, it just seems like we have so many damn similar players.

He can definitely play the tip of a diamond... he could even play as one of the two forwards in a diamond...

I'd also be interested in seeing a 4-2-2-2 when studge is fit... I just don't think we have the right kind of MF'ers to play in a double pivot...

Did I mention I hate Brendan Rodgers??

After watching the match tonight, I think Arsenal will trounce all over our MF

I do too, but I'm giving him at least until Christmas... If he proves he can adapt (which I haven't seen any indication of at all yet), then I'll be fine. If not, he needs to GTFO.

I really try to side with BR and rationalize his decisions but he just doesn't make sense right now. So many hypocritical decisions and ones that just pure don't make sense. A win is a win, but this shite ain't gonna work against the top half of the league.

I'd love to get in his head, but right now, every questionable decision just looks like pure ego/stubbornness

He's learned little to nothing from last year. I know this is a controversial statement, but I really believe i've actually been more miserable watching these two games than watching the ones we played last year. So incredibly boring. We're Chelsea wannabes.

I feel like my eyes are bleeding.
