No, they changed that rule, it now goes to the next highest team in the PL not already qualified

Apparently the new kits for next year are being released tomorrow.

I've seen the home ones (at least a seemingly legit leak)... They're kinda going back to the 13/14 look with the yellow trim (which I like).
There's also a leak of the 3rd kit that's black with the neon green City used for their 3rd kit this year, I think it looks terrible

I wish they'd just use yellow.

Yeah... I want to believe you, but there is a chance you posted and then downvoted yourself. So there's that.
Someone is doing it in our thread as well and its been in the City thread.

SCh, since your poolsessed and monitoring this thread anyways....
Curios to see you opinion about Can's development this year (particulary since Klopp took over).
You had some very specific and strong thoughts about him earlier this year. And your's would be a "nuetral" opinion, even if you're nothing but.

I admit I didn't think he'd work out as a DM as well as he has. I thought he wandered too much, wasn't tactically disciplined enough, he held the ball too long and his touch was too heavy instead of quickly recycling possession in some instances without losing the ball in a bad position.
Glad he's proven me wrong. Think he still had some area to improve in possession as a holding midfielder, but he's turned into a great destroyer.
And I remember at the beginning of last season when he would look gassed after 60 minutes. Now he's everywhere and doesn't stop pressing. He's definitely someone to build a team around.

I've been so please with his development. Love seeing him gallop forward in attack, he's tough to stop when he gets a head of steam and is a pretty good distributor in the final third. It's easy to forget just how young he is, but I really think he can be world class one day. Hopefully he can stay fit and keep progressing. Strootman was the same type of player but has battled injuries his entire career

Good to see him actually developed in a position and not used like a utility man how BR kept doing. Especially using him as part of a back 3.
He could be a strong and solid DM in the long run. Using him as a box to box just isn't what he is suited for b/c his medium and long ball distribution is still not there along with his finishing.
He needs to keep working on his medium passing just for the fact a DM needs to push the ball up and out the wings. He's getting there for sure. I thought he would be suited better as a fullback b/c he was lacking the passing but if he keeps working on it he will be fine as a DM and with a good CM paring he can just worry about covering the other mid while they attack.

Gotta love klopp celebrating a tackle like a goal

Interesting - "just fine" was less than I would have thought. He's played some killer balls this year and as of a few weeks ago was pretty much top 5-7 in the EPL in terms of offensive and defensive categories for a CM. And the only one who was that high in both. Basically doing the work of a Fabregas and a Matic at the same time.
I do agree that he needs a bit more consistency in some of his passing. He has a powerful shot and its usually on target but is also too far away to have much of a chance of gettin in. Threre are refinements needed in places, but his improvement has been huge this year and is now a squad defining player for us, imo.
With his physical build, attributes and skills, I think there is a decent chance he becomes world class. (which for me means he's top 2-3 in the world for his position/role).

I'm curious to see where Klopp sees his long term future at... DM or more of a B2B CM...
I think it's the latter... but I guess we'll see soon enough

Yeah it was only the home kits today... The neckline is a little odd, but all in all not a terrible kit. Like the subtle hoops personally

The leaked thirds I saw I didn't like at first, hope the away is something simple like white or yellow

Well if thats the case, you have either been hawking waaayyy too many threads, or it is Captain Spursday haha
ETA: New kits are rather meh. Im not a big fan of yellow letting on red. The white letting on red pops way more. The Warrior home kit from 2 years ago (Gerrards last year) was my favorite of late, and that 3rd kit was also slick looking. Loved this years white away kit.
