SIAP, but Flanno is playing tomorrow unless he gets hurt between now and then.

This just in: Flanno out with a paper cut
Let's hope they have him in a bubble between now and kickoff tomorrow

He might be but he's played and studied under the greatest of all time in SAF (Paisley is the only realistic challenger at this point). He's also had time under a great coach in LVG, albeit one who's totally lost the plot. I think he's probably learned enough to be successful, potentially even so much so that he becomes one of the greats. I don't think it's likely he reinvents the wheel in his first or second year. Could happen, but more likely to be a rebuilding time for United.

Matchday, fellas! Win and we get to host fricking West Ham next weekend. Lose, and.... We actually get a break.

I ways looking forward to Ings this year. I think he fit this system perfectly. I would imagine if he were healthy that's a good 6pts, at least, we'd have. That's just him. A healthy Sturridge we'd be top 4 for sure. Frustrating.

What happened to Ojo's hair? I don't recognize him.

Who knows, but dude that finish was awesome!

Things really picking up steam on a bid for Alex Texeira from Shakthar... £24.5 with add-ons... Most of the reliable journos is confirm... Ayre has flown to Florida for advanced talks...
He has some eye boggling stats this year... Interesting move, since he's another AM... However, those 3 brazilians could be something special together..

Someone tell me about Teixeira. I don't know anything about him.

Well, he's 26. Brazilian. Has scored a frickton of goals. Sure, it's in Ukraine, but he's got pace, can bomb down the flanks if needed, but also plays in the no.10 role. He's like another Henrikh Mhiktaryan. Would be ecstatic if we got him.

Also a rumor is floating that he pulled his hamstring shortly after Liverpool bid on him.
Because of course he did.

I'm guessing, ideally Klopp would want the 3 Brazilians as an attacking 3 behind a striker... but perhaps he intends to play Firmino as a CF..
I kinda like the idea of a Christmas tree with those attacking 3... Firmino flanked by the other two and a 3 man Midfield... hendo/can with Lucas sitting deep..

I agree with you here, TFTC... Except for Lucas. I love the guy, but he should be limited to about 15-20 minutes at the back end of games. I just don't think he has it anymore.

Lucas was by default... no one else. I guess you can have Can deep and either Allen or Milner in the 3...

Honestly, I'd have been fine if Klopp's only January move was to replace Lucas. Can needs to be a CM. If we can get him to stop taking so much time standing over the ball that he gets his pocket picked, he'd be one of the better CM's in the league. His passing in the final third has been phenomenal at times, and he has a crazy power shot.
In this scenario, however, I'd rather see Can at the base and Allen on either side of a 3 man midfield. Milner should also be subbing in later in games. He seems to fade in the later stages of the full matches he plays.
My one hope in regards to the striker situation is that Klopp doesn't bring anyone in with the intent to replace Ings. I would Echo that a healthy Ings may have yielded us an additional 6 points in the standings to this point, if not more. He was playing really well before his injury, and always seemed to find a space to slip into.

Oh, I agree... we have needed an upgrade on Lucas for the past 3-4 seasons. Our previous regime didn't think so and it was never addressed. Hopefully, Klopp believes so... IMO a solid DM can cover up (and protect) a lot of the shakiness in the back 4..

Sure, it's in Ukraine
I think, for the most part, eastern European players (league, not nationality) have translated well when moving to the continent. I'm less concerned with the differences in the leagues in this case than I would be if we signed a player from Portugal or Netherlands, for instance.
