Also add the fact that he is completely insane.

I'm done with the "just maybe so and so can turn him around".

Gotze is a class above firmino and a less selfish player than cou has been of late. I would absolutely love gotze and what I've read he wants out Bayern but that might change when they bring in the new coach.

I personally love lallana and think he's one of the better players on the squad as well. His work rate is second to none and klopp clearly likes him. On the other hand if we do bring in gotze I could see lallana being the player replaced.

In all honesty I have no idea what klopp is doing with the current squad players and who he's going to keep but it's going to be an exciting summer.

I guess I don't understand what you mean by the same, their abilities are nothing alike.. other than both being kinda lazy..

I agree that its a crap shoot and odds are he's done here, but we own him and if Klopp decides he wants to get a first hand look at him before making a decision on his future... to me, now's the time (a recall may not be possible)..

If Klopp decides he's done and doesn't need to see him first hand, I don't blame him..

Nothing alike?

They're both big physical strikers with decent pace and known for aereal ability and hold up play when they're up for it?

They're pretty damn similar man.

Can't have enough guys like him in the squad. If we're in 4 competitions you keep AL if you can without a doubt.

Especially with Goetze injury record.

I think Goetze is somewhat of a pipe dream anyway.

Balotelli is technically miles ahead of Benteke...

Balotelli is the complete package, if he ever get his head on straight (which I agree, is not likely if I was betting).. He can, and has, played on the wing.. He can play deeper and get more involved in the build up..

Benteke is so limited and not much more than a target man

I agree on that, though the Klopp tie makes it a little more believable, IF he were to leave Bayern...

He does seem to get injured a lot, just like Reus (if we're talking pipe dreams)... it would be a concern..

Meh.

Benteke has scored some absolute banger goals. Youtube his Villa compilations.

Bollo is def. more gifted overall but acting like they're miles apart? I simply disagree.

Rues and Goetze! It will happen!

Honestly I'd rather have Rues since he can play/develop more into a striker.

That's fine... I think they're on different planets talent wise.. obviously, your opinion is just as valid as mine!

I agree, when the starts align, he is capable of scoring a great goal... The one against Man U was fantastic.. the one in preseason, too..

I've watched a lot of Benteke and to be honest, I was guardedly optimistic based on what he did bring to the table.. IMO he hasn't even lived up to that.. A huge disappointment.. I'd dump him as soon as possible and hope to get back £15mm...

That said, I will be hoping that he comes good as long as he wears the red shirt, and would love for nothing for my opinion to change! On Lallana, too!

this... all of it...

Balo is a much better player than Carroll, Act 2... with the ball at his feet, Balo is wizard..... problem is he is about as sane as a wizard is real... if his brain worked as well as his feet, he'd be in the same class as Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar, etc...

Benteke would still be in the Andy Carroll, Peter Crouch, etc. crowd.... that's the immense difference between the two...

A morbid talk of us trying to get a loan deal for Steven Caulker and have him registered in time for Arsenal...

I'd rather a loan than a panic buy on anyone... A couple of years ago he was touted as one of the top young English CBs, though his development seems to have stalled out the past couple of seasons

#LFC have completed the signing of Steven Caulker on loan from Queens Park Rangers until the end of the season.

I like the signing for a stop gap... If Klopp can get him to live up to his early potential, great... Maybe we can look to a permanent deal in the summer.. If not, see ya..

For immediate help at CB, I'm glad he's played in the prem... Right now we need bodies!! I'm glad they did this quick and he's been registered for Arsenal if needed..

Thats pretty much a good piece of business for CB cover. Especially if we appear to have some free guys (schalke guy) possibly coming in for the summer. No reason to panic buy - just get cover for the next few weeks. Caulker has some tools, but I think he's not as athletic as he was thought to be.

Plenty of rumors going around - Barahino, Vietto, etc.

With Origi out until February at the earliest now after a minor knee surgery, I wouldn't mind the Vietto rumor. He's supposedly not happy with his lack of PT at ATletico, and he would fit what we do with speed and desire to run behind the back 4.

My only problem - I'd rather a more proven playe as I'm tired of guys who have a chance of becoming great, but aren't yet.

Benteke is such a Pulis type striker... I'd be willing to do a straight swap!! I know these things never happen...

I have big questions on Barahino though. A swap would be an improvement for us, but I'm still not sure Saido is a good guy for our team.

Attitude, desire, pressing, work rate, speed, decision making - all questions for me.

I think he's a good young player.. I'd guess attitude is the biggest concern...

Obviously, I was kidding about the swap... There are other strikers I'd prefer, but he's an intriguing young player

Just read we'll pocket ~£3.8mm of the sell on clause for Jonjo... That's about what the young Serb cost us...
