In Italy, yes... Last 3 years in Brazil, no..

But it would be a concern.

I haven't really seen anyone the I consider reputable, make the connection though (I haven't really looked today).

Daniel Sturridge for €25mil going once, going twice....

If we get €25 for him I'm totally cool with that. Used to be one of my favorites but if the man can only go 5-10 matches a year he's got to go. I don't mind the pato deal bc I see it as a cou, Sturidge type pick up. Remember when we got them they both were talents just still unproven but wanting quality team. I think pato will be a competitor and come in and flourish with klopp

Or I could be totally wrong and he could suck worse than benteke but hey Liverpool soccer am I right?

The article I read was £25mm...

If a club were to offer that, I guess it would be something to consider... make a profit off of him, but if he could ever stay healthy he's worth way more...

And he'd have to have a good run of form and fitness for a club to spend that kind of £...

Bottom line is if Klopp doesn't want him and someone is willing to buy, then he'll be gone.. it seems like Klopp has an issue with him that runs a little deeper than him just being injured...

I trust Klopp to bring in quality... unlike BR.

I think our entire group of strikers could use an overhaul... and if I'm honest, I wouldn't be upset if all of them weren't here in 2 years time (not that I think they all need to go)

figuring we will NEVER get a full season, or even half of a season, let's be honest, then what is there really to consider???

"if"... such a big word...

i figure Klopp just doesn't like his player to have massive, gaping vaginas, but that's just a guess...

i agree, totally.... thing is Klopp, unlike Rodgers, was around world class talent before getting to Anfield.... i have more confidence in his ability to be able to identify and utilize talent effectively, because he has first hand experience with it prior to being a Red...

amen, hallelu... wait

what? lallana, firmino? they'll be studs in Klopp's system.... give it time

because, and humor me here... if he got healthy for the rest of the season and banged in 12-15 goals... there would be a decision to make IMO... £25mm is a nice fee...

If he doesn't, NO ONE is going to buy him for £25mm..

I don't consider Lallana and Firmino strikers... they are AMs to me... I absolutely agree Firmino will come good though we may not see the best of him until next season.. I would sell Lallana if a decent offer came in.. though I don't have a problem if he's a squad player... I don't think he's good enough..

I guess I should have been clear and said Center Forwards... Studge, Benteke, Ings, Origi, Balotelli

If you look at all of BR's main targets over his years here, none are good enough for us. I don't think all are necessarily bad players, but we paid starting 11 type £ for these guys...

Joe Allen
Adam Lallana
Dejan Lovren
Christian Benteke
James Milner (as a CM)

It's like he did his scouting from watching MOTD... you could get players of equal or better talent on the continent for a fraction of the price..

Milner was on a free... far from "starting 11 type £"

He's being paid £150k/wk... for 5 years.. thats starting 11 money..

I know we didn't have to pay a transfer fee, but I put him in the list for the reason above... and is another example of his poor judgement

i understand the fantasy situation you are presenting, but just read the above quoted passage aloud and keep it in the context of "reality"....

now, do you see how fricking ludicrous this sounds??

we are talking about a guy that hasn't been healthy consistently for almost 2 years... and all of a sudden he's gonna just pick up right where he didn't even leave off? on his own, he's not world class... he's just not.... with suarez, yes, he was great, but then again, almost anyone of our other strikers not named benteke would have been great with suarez out there....

i mean, yes, TFTC, i'd LOVE for him to come back and prove me wrong, but dude... if history is any indicator, i feel pretty confident in saying we're better off getting him off the books... at this point, we just need to move the frick on...

a) I am talking about the situation in which we'd be offered £25million, the reason this topic was brought up again... you asked what would there be to consider.. I presented a scenario that would make that offer possible..

b) I'm not saying we shouldn't take that offer and suggested we possibly should and get a small profit on him..

c) He may not be world class, but he's a very, very good striker who scores with or without Suarez... and yes, in the couple of games he's played this season, our attack is totally transformed... 4 goals in 6 games, without the benefit of finding a run of form..

d) Not that this was what I was discussing, but since you're headed there.. I still don't think we should let him go for peanuts.. I'd rather keep him. I've stated time and time again, I don't think he should be our plan A for a center forward... If it ever surfaces that keeping DS is preventing us from signing a new player, I'd probably change my mind... All I have to do is look at Van Persie and see the benefits of persevering through some tough years (minus the transfer request)..

Klopp obviously has more insight to DS than what you or I have, so whatever he decides is fine by me...

agreed...

i can see we are both passionate about the scenario, we are just on opposite sides the play ground on the issue....

We recalled Danny Ward from Aberdeen.. by some accounts, he was the top keeper in the SPL this season..

I personally haven't seen much of him at all...

I'm taking this as curtains for Bogdan..

Adam Lallana

He's been one of our best players since Klopp arrived?

BR played him out of position and gave him shite tactics to deal with, its clear Klopp rates him and he won't be going anywhere anytime soon.

What do y'all make of the Gotze rumors? I know that's Klopp's guy, but is he not of similar style/ skill set to Cou and Firmino?

I agree, outside of Ings. He was in a very good run of form before he got injured, in my opinion at least.

I disagree... he doesn't score goals or create many chances from a position where I would put a heavy emphasis on those two attributes...

He works hard and has good technique... but is severely lacking IMO. I'm not saying he isn't useful, but IMO an upgrade is needed. Klopp only has these players to work with so I don't doubt he has seen plenty of PT. We don't have much behind him.

On Ings... I don't mind him staying, provided his knee heals fine. I'm just saying, if he was gone, I wouldn't be too disappointed. I don't think he'll ever be our first team striker, but I like what he showed before injury.

yeah, at the end of the day, whatever Klopp decides is fine by me. I like Studge, be he isn't reliable... I just don't see the point of losing him for peanuts unless he is a problem in the dressing room or is in any other way disrupting the team... back atcha!

While we're on strikers... If we aren't buying one this window and if a recall is at all possible, I'd be all for bringing back Balo and giving him one last chance...

I really have my doubts about his mental make-up, but we own him and we need a striker... Either he makes the cut or we try and offload him this summer..

**I think he may be still injured, so this may be a moot point..
