That would be nice. I am starting to think Skrtel may be a liability as CB... Either that or Manquillo is clueless. I am leaning towards the former. Manquillo is on an island on the right basically.

ETA: Clearly contradictory of what i said a few posts ago in this thread. To clear it up, as the middle is concerned, Kolo/Skrtel are a good pairing, but the relationship on the right side is in peril.

Ugh!!!

Great backheel by Gerrard, Lambert wasn't ready for it or he would have netted another. Maybe chemistry hasn't been fostered properly due to injury?

ETA: Great pass by Sterling and Hendo finishes it off! 2-1 Reds!

Looked like the keeper misplayed that too... he should have charged forward for the ball instead of letting Hendo track it and following him.

Good recovery late in the half... looked fairly sharp and a bit more confident/exploratory. Hopefully that keeps up and we can put a few more up. A 4-1 win could work wonders for their confidence and chemistry.

Well hell... Sterling down and being looked at. Lambert limping around too.

Forgive me for being a bit ahead of myself, but I think Lambert needs to be up top for the forseeable future, regardless of who else is up there with him.

Ran into the GK? Stevie is playing up top right now...

Steven Gerrard.

I can't be mad about him up top. He is doing some decent work. Not sure why he looked so slow Sunday... he is quick and concise again today.

If you aren't concerned about us choosing to put him up top, I don't know what to tell you.

I don't think he was put up top, I think he was pressing to the top. He has been all over the place. More of what I was referring to.

Sterling has been up top more, and more recently, with Lambert.

Then as I type this, I see that Sterling comes out for Moreno to play midfield. Not sure why they switched him up top rather than someone else. My apologies good sir.

Gerrard has caused a bit of chaos though. I wouldn't say he has been terrible in the slightest up there. It does beg the question: Why move Sterling back to midfield if he was gimpy? Makes no damn sense when compared to the option to sub him immediately in favor of Borini or someone...

ETA: Wtf!? Man this shite is giving me an ulcer...

Possibly the most frustrating match I have seen this year. Looked moderately good attacking, but couldn't get out of our own zone, or maintain possession long enough for it to make a difference. Especially in the second half...

Well we all knew that was going to happen. To pretend to believe otherwise is just foolish.

fricking hell... well, as long as RM holds on and if we beat Basel at Anfield, we'll go through...

not that I have high hopes...

He actually made several brilliant passes and pressured everyone that touched the ball for them that he was close to. Lambert wasn't ready for a few of them, and he was the first one to touch the ball on several set pieces. Just because the chemistry between him and some of the younger guys is off doesn't mean he isn't playing well.

He had a horrible game Sunday... Today was not one of those days.

ETA: I know Lambert is not young at 32. New probably would have been a better word.
