The fan reaction after we sacked Dalglish convinced me we have the dumbest fan base in the Premier League.

Nah, every fan base for every sports team in the world has it's share of bad fans.

How long to do guys think BR has to right the ship? I'm sure all of you would agree typically that continuity and stability is best when it comes to managers, but he is showing no ability to tinker with his formations and such. It alarms me because it seems like that was the basis for all of his praise last season. I can't see him staying on if we finish lower than 6th this season.

ETA: Basically I think they will give him the season, but nothing more if things do not change.

Finishing below 6th is a very real possibility, and I think he stays on regardless. I think he would have the rest of this season, and probably most of next season.

BS on changing of the tactics. I think he's definitely changed the tactics, but the biggest thing that he's gotten wrong for me has been personnel and putting the right players in a position to succeed

Agree about them keeping him - I think our ownership favors some stability in leadership more than, lets say Spurs, or Chelsea, etc.

There's been enough promise shown to give him time to work it out.

About 6th though - lets remember that despite our poor start, we are currently 7th and one weekend away from 4th. Frankly, thats the most frustrating thing for me (other than how boring we look) - Arsenal, Spurs, ManU, and Everton have also had poor starts (well, Arsenal wasn't poor, just not as good as it should have been) and we've absolutely failed to take advantage of that by building up our own points.

Its going to be an absolute fight for the last two sports of the top 4 this year. It will also likely be a big battle for those spots that comes down to the wire. Every point we lose out on this early could come back to haunt us.

So Markovic, Toure, Johnson, Lucas, Borini, and Balotelli all starting today? If true, that's interesting. And could get very ugly.

Modric has already said they want to embarrass us. This one will be scary.

And Ronaldo is 2 goals away from Raul's CL scoring record. You know he want to do it at the Bernabéu

As we wait for the day's impending massacre to unfold, enjoy this positive article from Michael Cox, as he provides his take on the Liverpool situation.

It's hardly a disaster.

Moral victory? I can't say it was pretty, but Kolo and Mignolet both played great today.

Hi all. Been keeping away from the boards for a while. We are missing an outlet for our attacks. We need Studge back ASAP and another A-grade striker in January or else this isn't unfolding very well my $0.02

Just got finished watching the match and was relatively pleased... I didn't expect the attack to have any teeth, but was pleasantly surprised with how we defended.. a couple of mental lapses, but that goal was just class by RM...

How good is Varane at CB? How good can he be?? Damn... I'd be willing to swap Sterling for him (hypothetical, would never happen)...

There's been a lot of fuss about how little it appears Rodgers is changing tactis for offense, but I'm wondering if the work he's been doing is on the defense.

Moreno pushes forward, but not quite as much as before. Manquillo/Johnson aren't forward as much. We appear to have more organization at the back.

Take out the Madrid game at Anfield and we've only given up more than 1 goal 1 time (QPR) in the last month and a half.

Now this doesn't seem so great considering how little we're scoring ourselves, but we weren't scoring very well before the shift and so at least we're seeing some better results.

What did yáll pay for Moreno? If he stays, he´ll turn out very, very nice.

Not much - about 12 I believe.

His focus and awareness is lacking currently. Hopefully its something he'll pick up as he ages. If he does, I think he'll be to 5 or so LB in the world. If he doesn't, well, he's more than adequate.

About £12m

He's still prone to mental lapses, but he's got a bright future. I hope we can hang onto Manquillo too. He's got a long way to go in attack, but he's a good defender and has a nonstop engine.

They could give us a solid pair of FB's for years to come.
