To me that seems to be the only thing he's done. He'll get the ball at his feet 5 yards away from the box, try to take on multiple defenders, and then get dispossessed.

I think he's looked creative at times but he just doesn't look like he has any confidence and struggling to fit in. Just not quite on the same page as everyone, but I think he has good ideas at times. He made better runs yesterday I thought, and he'll still try to drop deep and inside to get himself involved. At this point though, he's probably best coming off the bench working in more open space and against tired legs.

I just feel like we play like we look on paper... A bunch of young budding talented guys who have never played together. But the alarming thing is we do not seem to have gained any chemistry over the past few matches. We continue to play "me" ball and the flow/chemistry of the group is nonexistent. Somethings gotta give... But we need to develop some chemistry and gel as a team fast. Its a lot of talent across the board, just no feel for how each other play at this time. And watching us in this state of pure confusion is aggrevating to see after last years squad moved up the field with such ease, and as a complete unit.

We must have watched a different game - I thought he was his usual Meh self that he's been all year. Bad touch. No ideas. Not really taking people on.
Not showing the burst he supposedly has, etc.

I didn't think he was great by any means but he had a few moments of linkup play and crashed the box a few times getting on the end of two rebounds (both of which he should have scored).

Since Arsenal are playing on Sunday I might watch the Liverpool game with the supporters group here in Nashville. Some of the guys I've met in it seem like a decent bunch.

Are you referring to the Arsenal supporters group that meets at Fleet Street? Or the Liverpool supporters group that I've never even heard about??

I'm a Fleet for most of the games. Liverpool supporters meet at Dan McGuinness in Franklin along with Man U supporters.

Nice! I actually had no idea that a group met anywhere for Liverpool matches.

I do like Fleet St, although I've only been a few times for some international matches. Parking is such a pain in the arse.

Yeah parking is an expensive bitch and also Fleet is a little on the pricey side. I think I might try to find an Arsenal fan south of Nashville and check into carpooling and splitting the parking fees. One good thing about Dan McGuinness is they open for every Premier League game and they also have breakfast.

What a move by Lallana. Best player on the pitch for us at the moment.

Sterling and Coutinho still look off pace. And I said it in the game thread but it's frustrating when we can't create because we don't even give ourselves a chance. If it's not a quick counter, too many people standing still expecting someone else to break down 9 in the back with a dribble. Pass and move damnit

Thank you Brendan for playing Lucas where he's used to and it was nice to see Gerrard playing so high up the field again.

And no doubt about Henderson as vice-captain. Looked like he was giving Coutinho some encouraging words when he was coming off and he was having a go at Stevie too at the end of the game for not taking it into the corner

Shades of '09 there when he was linking up with Balo... It was a pleasure to see..

All in all, Llalana, Hendo, Coutinho and Gerrard all played better... Sterling's touch has left him the past few games..

Glen even did well and looked lively when he came on..

Glen looked very good in his limited minutes. He just offers more in the attack than Manquillo. We will probably see a rotation between the two. It will be good to have at least some depth at the backs.
