Damn. Was really looking to see what he will bring to the club early on as we look to replace Suarez.

Sorry, that Lallana news interrupted my Lovren thought... If he was brought in to give Sakho competition then that would be upsetting, but hopefully he can play both sides... Who knows, maybe we are in for another CB with Kolo and Agger both being shown the door... Or we think Ilori is ready to compete?

I'll trust BR and the scouts that they know what they are buying...

Damn that Lallana news pisses me off

The games I saw him play on the right side were a huge drop off. He's good on the left, noticeably worse on the right.

Regardless, he's a red now, and I'll pull for him like hell. There's nobody in this entire thread that hopes I'm wrong more than I do.

that may be a good thing

True I guess. As long as we're set up to allow him to defend in space. Hopefully that's the plan.

Sucks about Lallana

But just try to imagine Coutinho sending through balls all game for Sturridge, Sterling, and Markovic

Coutinho
As many goals as we scored last year, there was some really poor finishing in that video. Great highlights of Coutinho's passing, though.

The problem against Roma for Cou was a complete lack of pace up front. But if that's supposed to be his role this year, he will excel. Quick move, create space and send a killer ball.

If Cou keeps up his pressing and defensive work rate he will be tremendous this year. He showed flashes of it last year.

Oh definitely.. I think Cou has to start and I expect him to lift his game this season...

In Chicago myself... Bout to head to Wrigley, hitting a few bars along the way.. I'll be half in the bag by first pitch...

Super bored and stuck in a car in Wyoming.. So, anyone wanna give their match day 1 starting lineups against Southampton?

I have us in a 4-3-3:

GK: mignolet
Def: Johnson-Skrtel-Sakho-Enrique(praying we get Moreno)
CDM- Gerrard
CM-Henderson-Coutinho
RW-sterling CF- Sturridge LW-Markovic

Thoughts?

I think Lovren will start over sakho. Otherwise, looks likely.

Wow. Reports that the Loic Remy Deal is off. Concerns over his medical.

Yeah, saw he failed it...

I remember he had heart issues a few years ago when we were linked with him.. I wonder if that was it or if there is something else..

Seeing he was lined up to be our new #7

That may be the case... Surely this means we have to go after another striker. Hopefully one of our bigger targets.

I'd imagine so... I was really stoked that we were signing him too... Especially at such a bargain price... Oh well, I've already read where we may now focus on Lacazette

I was really getting excited about the Remy deal. Bummer

But after watching some videos of this Lacazette kid, he looks damn good. Any idea of his price tag?
