I got excited watching the text commentary. Has an animation thing and showed Balo's name real big and a solid circle which normally means goal. I got excited in the office and then was extremely disappointed.

Yeah. Sturridge may be unhappy with how Balo handled it, but he can't be mad at a game-winner* forever.

To be fair, Balo has an incredible penalty record and sturridge is like 1/3 or something like that. I want Balo taking every penalty that Stevie is not on the field for.
Sturridge and Henderson played like shite anyways, so I wouldn't want them taking it this game

Overall thoughts:
-Ibe MOTM for me
-Balotelli looks better and better every game
-Can had several nervy mistakes that could have cost us. Not at his best
-mignolet saves our asses in the first half.
Glad to take the lead to Istanbul

There is NO WAY Rodgers has Hendo as the penalty taker. He needs to back down because we all know what happens when a rando tries to take it (Studge at Everton last year).

And Studge will get over it. I get that he's our Ace, but Balotelli has a proven PK record. He even asked to take them when he signed but was politely told that as long as Stevie is on the pitch, there's only one PK taker.

Exactly. Hendo and Sturridge are just not good at or known for penalties. Between those 3, it has to be balo. Just glad he put it away, cuz if he didn't, oh boy...
