I like what I saw from Ejaria vs Fleetwood today. Very promising youngster! Woodburn, Kent and Brannagan stood out to me as well.

Ibe officially off to Bournemouth. Kid never had an eye for goal and several positive attacking movements died at his feet. Wish him the best and hopefully the committee had strong buyback/sell-on language in the agreement.
We've made about £23M in the past two days. Let's go buy something shiny.

Not happening
Gomez and Sakho both with Achilles problems
Looks like we're in the market for another CB

SEVERE Achilles problems? Or are we talking strains here? Either way...

Sakho definitely sounded like a tendinitis and he should be fit around the start of the season
Gomez I think they're not sure. Which leads me hopeful that maybe it's just a partial tear. If it was a true rupture they should know

Also, any seen enough of him to give a scouting report?
N'golo Kante was arguably Leicester's most important player last year. He was a beast. He's been linked to Chelsea, I give us a 0.00% chance of signing him.

Gomez has comfirmed his condition isn't too serious either. Something similar to tendonitis. Needs some rest etc.
Problem is we may only have two CBs fit for the opener and if one of those gets injured in a friendly.....

Let's bring Mascherano back. He's 32, they just signed Umtitti. And he can play CDM or CB. DO IT.

For those that have NESN the preseason math against Wigan will be on there today. Starts at 11

15 minutes in, Coutinho's hit the post twice

Ejaria, Brannagan, Woodburn, Kent...are youngsters looking absolute class

I am just glad Ings is scoring. I really want him on the field this year a lot. High energy and technically creative player.

Liverpool have made a move for Georginio Wijnaldum, the Newcastle United midfielder, and are hoping a fee can be agreed this week.

definitely under the radar... good business if we actually do get him....
so far, i really like what we are doing, especially knowing the coach can mold players how he does....

Klavan looks like he'll be taking Toure's place. I really like the look of Matip. He looks like he could be a dominating defender and very comfortable on the ball. Hopefully Sakho can stay fit and Lovren keeps up his good form and we could have 3 solid CB's to pick from. Klopp's said he wants Gomez to take things slow this year so imagine that's why Klavan was brought in. And I'm sure Wisdom and Ilori will be sold or loaned out.
Not sure how I feel about Wijnaldum. I liked him at PSV but he was very inconsistent at Newcastle although to be fair that whole team struggled through stretches last year before Rafa got there. Might be an Allen replacement?

He's already 30 years old.. I gotta imagine he is strictly cover (LCB)...
GW would be an interesting signing, since his best role is a CAM... We've been linked with him since the last days of Rafa... hard to believe he's only 25!
