I'm not sold on Van Dijk in our system

Why is that?

I think he'd fit any system... He's by no means perfect, but I don't really see a glaring weakness..

Just out of curiosity, and positions and/or names of players everyone hopes we bring in over the January window?

I really think we need a starting CB, I'd like a solid outside back, and maybe another true forward.

As others have mentioned, I've seen rumor of Van Djck.

Have also seen rumor of Pulisic, Julian Brandt, and/or Jonathan Tah from the Bundesliga.

He's a great distributor, but I'm not convinced by his one on one defending and playing a high line on the front foot like we do. Seems like he's much more used to sitting back and defending.

In my not so professional scouting opinion haha

gotcha...

IMO, thats where he excels...

one on one defending

I think he's fine, but can always improve...

Just a combination of pace, power and athleticism... combined with excellent ball skills, free kicks and aerial ability..

I thought we should have signed him from Celtic, just like Wanyama before him and Dembele now...

I love Tah too.. I just think VVD is ready to step in day one without any acclimation to the league.. plus he plays as a LCB...

1. Tay
2. Van Djck
3. Free flowing attacker

Jesus, Tah would be unbelievable. All of this bs is laid directly at Sakho's front door.

Seriously,

Time for us to put him on the bench. He is mind fricked right now and this is a 1-0 game with Migs in

I'd let him play through it and try and get his confidence going... we know Migs sucks...

not sure how that wasn't a penalty on Lallana...

We need a physical, no nonsense defense to compliment Matip so bad (and a fricking LB)...

Assess Karius at year end and if needed a GK too

I mean, I know migs has his flaws and I'll admit I've been an apologist for him these past couple seasons, but Karius just seems to have no confidence right now. I do think he's got great potential and I'm not saying I'm over him or anything, but at the moment he is playing like shite

I understand the logic for replacing him and I can't argue with that line of thought... I'd just let him play through it (to an extent)

LB

Several clubs have been eyeing Charlie Taylor. He's not a name a lot of people will be familiar with but he's out of contract in July and is the prototypical Klopp player.

We should be eyeing another big CB to match with Matip going forward. We definitely should be looking at a LB but I doubt that happens.

we have been linked..

Question.. When are some of our GK woes gonna be laid at the feet of Achterberg (sp?)... He's been here for the decline of Pepe, Migs and now Karius...

You might as well sell Karius if you bench him at this point. Klopp put him in too early and now we're stuck in the bed we've made. He continues on at least until January.

at what cost? we can't continue dropping points like we have the last 3 weeks... 7 points that we should have right now, that we don't because we gave up goals a plenty.... at what point do you say, okay, we need a change to stop the bleeding... imo, it's now... not January... we just can't afford to drop more points because can't afford to miss on European football yet again...
