If this season taught us anything, it's that we need quality depth and strong rotation. I think Lallana has been around long enough to understand that and that he's fully bought into the Klopp system. He's indispensable, in my opinion, to continuing our progress domestically and abroad.

I won't disagree with that one bit. I really like our starting IX especially with upgrades at CB and LB, but we're not prepared at all yet to compete on the CL level and in league at the same time

Yeah, he definitely upped his game this season... I just want us to get better and there are only a couple of players in our squad that can't be improved upon..
Honestly, I'd have sold him last summer and that would have been a mistake... I think he'll probably see out the productive years of his career here now, not necessarily as a full time starter though..

Bookies have all MASSIVELY flipped the odds for Liverpool, not Man City, to sign Van Djik. 1/10 to Liverpool, 11/2 to Man City...
If we were to wrap up Salah and Van Djik this week...and open talks with Lacazette...

At that point, I would have to assume Studge is gone. Or perhaps that Phil is gone as well.
Because no way we get those guys without addressing two or so other areas of quality and depth needed, and we'd be running low on transfer budget.

I'm not buying the Lacazette links. On the other hand, really trying not to get too excited about Van Dijk yet.
And obviously anything can happen with transfers, but Salah is looking more and more like a done deal.

That would be huge if we signed him... many have been confident all along, but with City coming in with stupid money, you never know...
It would be a huge statement of intent from FSG...
VVD is a top 10 CB in the world IMO, with the potential to climb much higher than that..

I come bearing good news boys. Fresh off of Paul Joyce's Twitter:
Liverpool will now attempt to negotiate what will be a world record deal for a defender with Southampton. Fee could reach around £60m.

I'm excited but also torn really - I mean, if he doesn't go to us he goes to a direct rival. That makes it more worth the price to me.
He'll likely be a top 4 or so CB in the world in the next few years - already top 10-15.
If you (meaning Klopp etc.) feel he really locks things up and is exactly what you want, go for it. There isn't a whole lot of risk on this one (in terms of him not panning out)
It really depends upon how much money is left in our transfer fund - if we plan on a net spend approaching 100-120mm, I'm ok with this, since I think we'll get at least 40-50 from selling Sakho, Markovic, Moreno, etc.

Well, with the reports of our top targets (by reliable sources)... I don't think it will impact that.. Maybe LB you go down a level, but hell... I'd take Moreno playing next to VVD
FWIW - I don't buy into the Lacazette rumors either right now..

May not be Lacazette but we are getting a top drawer striker, I am feeling it.

Graeme Kelly (Twitter ITK - broke Klopp news) is saying its 44mm + 8mm add ons.
take it for what its worth...

That would be outstanding - even if the add ones were simple (10 league games etc) as it spreads it out a bit.
Posted on 6/5/17 at 1:58 pm to Tigerstark
Add ons are attached to tournament and league wins apparently.

Keita is still my #1 want. That's saying something since I've been on the lacazette train for years and I'm tired of seeing Lovren at CB. Keita is a game changer
