I have a feeling with our rumored war chest this will be the silliest of silly seasons.
I'm hoping there's a lot of smoke thrown out by the club for the press to chase names around while we actually bring in guys quiet and quickly, sort of like Mane/Wij last year.
I haven't watched him enough, but from my impressions from limited watching, I do believe Naby has to be our number 1 target, and if we can only get one 40-50m player, I want him to be it. There are other CBs to be had for less than VVD. But a dynamic MF who can play in a 2 or 3, attacking ore shielding, presses likes a maniac, has an eye for goal - these things are so important to a Klopp system.

The fact that he's only 22 is icing on the cake. That's a guy you can build a squad around, and we already have one of those in Phil. If Can (23) continues to progress then we're talking about a dynamic young midfield that can grow into a force of nature.

LOL that's awesome. Did you just recognize him straight off or did you hear him talk?
He's so normal looking I probably wouldn't think much of seeing someone looking like him.
I saw a guy that looked exactly like Ings (and had an english accent)at Disney about 18 months ago, but it was mid season and he wasn't limping around and I wouldn't have even thought it could really have been him.
Now a Cou, Studge, Hendo, etc. would have stood out more to me.

I'm taking that article with a grain of salt but if we frick around and miss out on our top targets over what amounts to pennies and nickels in this market I'll be pretty pissed

I mean it's all about the structure though. If Van Dijk is making a buttload of money, then Coutinho, Mané, and Lallana might want that, and if they get that money, then Can, Matip, and Clyne would want that money so it's all a domino effect. I get it

We can afford to pay them all like that though. At least the way I understand it. Aren't we a top ten club in Europe as far as revenue?
