Now that Altidore is out, any chance Fab Johnson move to MID?

I know this is highly unlikely, but could Fab Johnson move to a attacking mid role and we could have this formation:

Howard

Cameron-Besler-Brooks-Beasley

Becker-Jones

Fab "the future" johnson-Bradley

Bacon-Rap Star

I know this won't happen, but just a thought. I would be nervous about brooks on the backline too

Our bakckline was good against ghana, so i don't expect any changes, but just food for thought

I'm proud of you Shane. A thread not about an American striker

It's possible - I think if we get down a goal early vs Portugal we may see Fab move to mid.

Speaking of mid, I think it will be interesting to see if Zusi gets the nod over Bedoya as well.

I said from the get go we should do this, but I would put Chandler at RB, Beasley at LB. Don't split up a successful CB pairing.

Howard

Chandler-Cameron-Brooks-Beasley

Beckerman

Bedoya-Bradley-Johnson

Dempsey

Jones has arguably been our best player since the Turkey friendly.

Not to mention Chandler is a defensive liability, and we are playing a match where a draw will likely suffice to put us through. We need a solid defense more than offense on Sunday imo.

But you want to split up the Cameron-Besler pairing?

I can say with almost full confidence that he back line will remain unchanged.

You can also probably count on seeing Bacon starting as well.

Even if you had done both of those things on purpose, you would still not be the dumbest person on the board today so take solace in that.
