Kroos for Özil to protect the lead.
Robben is the footballing equivalent of Russell Westbrook; quick, creative and fantastic on his best day, a complete black hole on his off games.

Robben has pretty much sucked both matches. Sure he's created chances, and even had some shots on target, but he's forced too many shots, and killed possession and attacks far too often.

He has been pretty good at that all season.

Dutch gotta hope for a penalty or set play goal. Germany sucking the life out of this game right now.

that was almost rediculously awful, yet hilarious

Germany sitting pretty. Holland need more goals against Portugal.

Ian just said Germany has advanced to the 1/4

Two goal win over Portugal and a Germany win over Denmark will still get KNVB in. Long shot, but it could happen.

That Portugal game is going to be wide open. Both teams needing a win, I expect a bunch of goals.

No doubt. Who is sitting on a card for Germany?
Only Badstuber? Boateng is out

Looked as if Germany had 13 players in the last 10 minutes.

2010 was the exception for the Dutch.

I love the "simultaneous scheduling" that FIFA and the confederations do now. This situation is a perfect example of why it works - Portugal can't assume anything about the Denmark-Germany result.

If
Portugal 1-0 Holland
Germany 0-1 Denmark
Germany is out, right?
Portugal 1-0 Holland
Germany 0-1 Denmark
Germany is out, right?
