I really like what City did. Added depth. Got what we needed and we'll have flexibility right off the bat next year with Negredo's deal.

I'm just saying that FFP's main premise is to preserve the old guard of super clubs from third world oligarchs spending to overtake them.

I love the conspiracy theory on this

It's really no more of an ethereal conspiracy theory than simply recognizing that powerful lobby tend to push laws and rules which favor themselves. It's not much of a stretch to say that not many powers (big clubs, corporate sponsors etc) behind UEFA want CL semi-finals featuring Monaco, Grenada and Cagliari.

If I look around the landscape of European football this summer -- when the initial effects of FFP were promised to be seen -- I see that Man U, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Barca, Bayern all probably improved their squads more than anyone else.

(Well, aside from Real but that's more due to their desperate need to Galactico every summer more than needing to stay in line with FFP with their massive revenue.)

The only noticeable changes are that neither City, PSG, Chelsea or another upstart went ridiculously into the red and the biggest occurrence was that AS Monaco decided to sell the superstars of which they were depriving the poor Manchester Uniteds and Real Madrids in order to avoid FFP penalties.

I haven't yet seen the difference it's making for everyone else aside from the exact number of all-star teams they may face.

I'm kinda glad we took our lump at the Etihad right off the bat, survived that early round knock down and are still in good shape.. two tough road matches in the books..

I have no idea. If he had a better season I could see it but he fizzled out hard.
